@tizeye It's s good thing you didn't change your entry. This is how I remember the cliffs of Moher. Did you see
any people hanging over the cliffs to shoot nice images? Or were people smarter back in 1986?
Thanks for the great subject and congratulation to the winners. I really had to search for fog photos as not typical, as either don't have camera with me when see "the picture" or a random early shot buried in an otherwise sunny morning shoot and no 'fog' keyword to find. My two alternates trying to decide between were the pasture sunrise morning fog posted in POTD last week, or previously posted person on suspension bridge (or the bridge between two peaks) but fog at 10,000ft (3000m) would be considered clouds.

Based on retuning the following day when could actually see, didn't see anyone hanging over the cliff. What did amaze me upon return were the lack of barriers with the trail so close to the edge. Suspect that had changed since 1986. On the day the photo was taken, I probably couldn't see warning signs if they existed. Also posted in POTD last week was another from the series, looking in the opposite direction and can barely make out the cows.

If anything, I need to digitize my slides as time takes it's toll.

Congratulations @redshifted ! Love that picture

This theme reminds me about a very special few days we spent in California after a conference. Someone told us if we drove up a particular road to a lookout point we'd see the San Andreas fault and I forget how many counties. We found the road in beautiful weather and as we drove along it rose and got more and more misty until we reached our destination. It was pretty foggy by then. Without much hope, we got out of the car and walked over to find a complete wall of pale grey. Not a thing to be seen anywhere. End of the world … :(
