So, I was wondering what could be a good but fun topic this time around and then while on my way to put the bin out I saw someone bike past me and that’s what gave me the idea for this week’s challenge.

Since we all have been stuck in our houses pretty much an entire year now, it’s time to remember how life was for us out and about, shake up this stuck life for some new excitement and move forward. So the topic for this week is - MOTION

Show me some moving parts, show me how you capture motion in life and nature.

Standard rules apply.

Follow all relevant local laws regarding stay-at-home orders. If you can't go outside, try and take a photo at home or grab one from the archives.
  • Do not comment, vote, react or click “like” on images prior to the winners being announced.
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • This contest runs for one week. If in doubt, check the dates in the title.
  • At the end of the week, The Judge will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline, then last week's 2nd place has to step in. 3rd place takes over should 2nd place be similarly unable to officiate.
  • The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create a new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
  • Contest ends at the end of 4/8/21, Central European Summer Time.

I hired a couple of guys to move some furniture for me tomorrow. I wonder if I'll be able to get a picture of a moving moving truck.

I got lucky on the first time I tried to get this shot. This is Sinclair jumping from the bedside stand up to the dresser.

From 5 miles away. The problem with a morning launch is shooting east into the sun. Next launch is April 22 with 2 astronauts on board, scheduled for 6:11 AM. Before sunrise if not delayed or last minute scrub! May be worth the 45 mile drive.

The 5 mile over the Intercoastal Waterway was the closest "free" site, simply pulling off anywhere along US1 as, historically, they closed the bridge over the waterway, closing the road. However, now, the road is open along the edge of NASA property all the way to the beach at Canaveral National Seashore Park. They will close the Park when hits capacity, but parking lot 1 (of 13) is within 1/2 mile of the launch pad, and can even walk down the beach to the ocean/beach fence/guard shack. Unfortunately, there are no campsites in the Park, and the gate may not be open as hours are sunrise to sunset.

Wondering if I should start regretting my choice of the topic this week.

I actually like it - I think it will make people stretch to either take a new picture showing movement or look hard in their archives for a picture that can fit.

Because not all pictures taken of something moving necessarily show the movement. I looked at a fair amount of my pictures, where I know their was movement, but the picture didn't show the movement very well.

And I have to say that there are some really good pictures posted so far, great stuff.
