So here we go guys, call me selfish, but being a phone photography enthusiast myself, I struggle sometimes with this specific type of shots and looking at the awesome talent we have in this forum, I would really like to get some inspiration from you all and I am keeping my fingers crossed given I am nowhere close to being called "skilled" enough to be able to judge you guys.

With that out of the way, the topic for this week is - REFLECTIONS.

Inspire me with some awesome shots and of course, have fun while at it.

Here is one I took last year in Hong Kong.

Standard rules apply.

Follow all relevant local laws regarding stay-at-home orders. If you can't go outside, try and take a photo at home or grab one from the archives.
  • Do not comment, vote, react or click “like” on images prior to the winners being announced.
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • This contest runs for one week. If in doubt, check the dates in the title.
  • At the end of the week, The Judge will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline, then last week's 2nd place has to step in. 3rd place takes over should 2nd place be similarly unable to officiate.
  • The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create a new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.

This is the perfect time of year for capturing wonderful reflections if one is near colorful trees and a body of water.... Great idea for this week's competition! Also, of course, really cool reflections can be captured in so many other situations as well. Ooh, I'll bet there will be a LOT of entries this week, and won't it be fun for all of us? :)

Fun topic! Looking forward to the entries. Now, where are the puns? Will someone light the way as we look back on our previous work?

There are so many in so many different settings - landscape, wildlife, etc. Which to choose! The irony is, with real estate photography, I try to eliminate reflections - even wearing black for easier removal of myself reflected in windows, TV screens or other reflective surfaces.

What are these things you speak of? Over 200 days without rain. :/

I often reflect on missing green but I'm not sure how to capture that in camera. :D

Wow, 200 days without rain!!!! Whew!!! We had a wonderful spell of several warm and sunny days in a row but then yesterday and today were rainy so our bushes, trees, grass, remaining flowers and what-not are all nice and colorful and green (the ones which remain green all year around) and moist..... Sorry that you're missing seeing green!
