Yeah it has been a crazy year. No measurable rain at the airport (official station) since April 20th. Last weekend there was some drizzle around town but nothing downtown where I live nor at the airport. Monsoon season is June through September and that was a bust. Not that Vegas gets a lot of rain but high winds, rain, and good lightning storms are not uncommon during monsoon season.Wow, 200 days without rain!!!! Whew!!! We had a wonderful spell of several warm and sunny days in a row but then yesterday and today were rainy so our bushes, trees, grass, remaining flowers and what-not are all nice and colorful and green (the ones which remain green all year around) and moist..... Sorry that you're missing seeing green!
Normally we average 4.2" of rain a year and to date we are at 2.3". We have been 10-15 degrees hotter than normal. I was into the 90s through most of October. 2020 is the gift that keeps on giving.
We shattered the record of 150 days of no rain set in 1959.
