Oh, my gosh!!!!! Small world..... I was born in Meadville and we lived in New Castle for a year or so before moving to Ohio. My grandparents, who lived in Meadville, had a cottage on Conneaut Lake, where I spent many happy summers during my childhood and teen years..... And now, Mollyc, it seems as though both of us are in the Washington DC area!

Sorry for the OT comments but couldn’t resist when seeing some familiar town names......

Where in Ohio? We moved to Cleveland 10 years ago.

Again, another barely noticeable a failure :(
To me the missing the focus on the main water droplet was a monumental failure, why I focused on the smaller drop over on the left confounds me still.

Thanks for an interesting topic or theme, Patrick, and congrats to the victors, or should that be the biggest failures?! o_O ;)

My family and I lived in East Liverpool, Ohio until I was about eight or nine, then moved to Illinois, where we spent the next eight years before moving back to East Liverpool. Once I finished graduate school at Catholic University in Washington, DC, though, I continued living and working in this area and lo these many years later am still here!

OOF or OODesiredF is indeed a failure, it was just not that evident without an explanatory note :)

What a hoot. I am dual career. I make my living now as a therapist, but the first half of my career was as a congregational rabbi. East Liverpool was my first student pulpit. I was there every other weekend in 1980-82. We still use our Hall China dishes.

You did not say where in Illinois. Before we moved to Cleveland we spent 17 years in Michigan City, IN which is just an hour from the Loop in Chicago.

Could we be shadowing one another?

A small world, isn’t it?!!! LOL!!!! Let’s see.....by 1980-82 I was long gone from East Liverpool and my parents had sold their house and after some years in Florida built another house in North Carolina. Pottery was the big thing in East Liverpool — our high school athletic team was, what else but The Potters! Good old Hall China, and Edwin M. Knowles china! :)

In Illinois we lived in Park Forest, which at that time was a growing suburb more-or-less of a planned post-war community. Those being my most formative years, the life of the typical suburban resident with all of its amenities was instilled in me and going back to East Liverpool was somewhat of a culture shock, the situation there was so different! I felt more at home in the DC area and its suburbs than I did East Liverpool...... It has now been a number of years since I’ve been back to ELO, since once my parents were no longer living there, no real need to return, even for high school reunions and such.
