For the theme of this weeks contest, I challenge you to show me that the Devil is in the Detail.
During my journey in photography, I have always thought of the mantra of a snap shows a moment in time, whereas a picture tells a story. With this in mind, I have always been fascinated with aspects of photography such as knowing where to crop tight to focus the viewer’s attention while not losing context. Like capturing the number 10 and the door knocker, yet knowing it is Downing Street, London.
So, with this in mind, I would like you to show images that draw my attention to the details either macro or micro, wide angle or tight angle but tell me a story, maintain the context, Show me an image that is part of the whole but paints the whole in the minds eye. Show me how to capture the devil in the detail.
Whilst I am not looking for a macro shot per se, here is an example. Tight in, but you know it is a camera.
Enjoy the theme and have fun with it!
Rules:
Maserati side grille, but anyone who knows cars knows this detail.
Another car one... sorry these are pants examples...
