In the spirit of naming the contest after a song like @anotherscotsman did last week this weeks theme is "Long and winding road". Paul McCartney "The Long And Winding Road/My Love" Live 2009
The Beatles recorded several takes of "The Long and Winding Road" at their Apple Studio in central London

I am looking for picture like the one I took last week, just better ;):)

The rules are as per normal:

· The photographs must be your own work.

· Be creative and have fun.

· You may only submit one photo per contest.

· Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

· The contest runs for one week, starting NOW!

· At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

· If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

· The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

· Winners please update the Weekly Photo Contest Master thread

Where is this?
Shafer Trail , Canyonlands N.P. ,Utah , U.S.A.. It actually starts on the mesa top at left , snakes off the mesa , and goes on for about 20 mile . Tried getting in from the other end . Got bad real fast . Not recommended for low ground clearance rental cars .....

I love road photos but have very few in my own portfolio.

I have been known to strap my GoPro onto my bike, however. :D And while this is only a small portion of the road (trail), I assure you my kids whine enough while we are out there to match the longest road you guys might actually post.

Philadelphia.
Cleveland's street cars (light rail trains) ran until 1954. The tunnels for the part of the line running under the Cuyahoga River still exist. This is the utility/maintenance corridor that runs parallel to the tracks.
Yes. The Cuyahoga is THAT river that has burned about 5 or 6 times in Cleveland's history.

Lynn Cove Viaduct, along the Blue Ridge Parkway (southeastern USA): one of the most beautiful roads on this planet! :)

There have been some jaw dropping submissions thus far. You all are really talented.

A few years ago when I rode motorcycles.... I took this with a point and shoot on one stretch of road. While I was riding ;)

What you're not telling us is that you took this photo while on your motorcycle, going 65mph, popping a wheelie, using two hands for the camera. Right? ;)

Bah! Just pay for the full coverage that they offer you at the counter and then go for it! Hahaha :D
