Thanks for the appreciation, and the feedback. Great to get confirmation I'm on the right track...or road, as the case may be. I took that shot in pretty hazy, crappy, as-far-as-you-can-get-from-golden-hour light. Just shows that sometimes harsh midday light can work better.

And I really enjoyed the other entries. I guess others just get attracted to taking shots of roads in landscapes as well.

CmdrLaForge, thank you for your feedback and especially the example on my picture. I really appreciate it. I do not know what happened the previous contest, but rest assured, I will always accept criticism and critique. I received similar advice on a different picture in the POtD thread, so I will be keeping that in mind from now on. Thanks again and it was great seeing all these great images, looking forward to the next contest!
