A zero cost to upgrade.

Uh, why are you bringing this up? I thought Apple said iOS4 will be a free upgrade? Are you saying that's one thing we can expect from it (because Apple promised it), or are you saying that's a "feature" you wish it had (because you hadn't heard it will be free)?

im sure this will get criticism but they can keep iOS4 at this point. i have everything working that i could want and stuff i never thought would work. i didn't even care about flash but since it works natively now it will have to be something beyond anything i have read so far.

i have backgrounder working better than anything simulated background things they will release.

i have the ability to mount an external HDD.

i have my iPad themed manually and it looks exactly like my Macs

using BT keyboard and mouse when needed as well as VNC into the iPad.

man i could go on and on and on .....

i am totally one that looks for the next edition of whatever but iOS 4 to me is the first time i think i have everr said i may just wait it out cause my iPad is just as i want it.

yeah......... buy a macbook.

Aside from folders, multitasking, and unified inbox for Mail...

I'm hoping that when you run iPhone apps on it at the 2x size, that it uses the high res graphics used on an iPhone 4 (if available for that app). It would make those apps that don't yet have iPad specific versions look a lot nicer.

YES!!!!

for me, multitasking (coming) is a must. I would also like to see a unified document folder/storage, popover application access (not needing to close an application to get your SMS or IM conversations), Drive access through the 30 pin connector to access files on a thumb drive via camera kit or other accessory or access a portable HD (passport)... and one can hope for a useful lock screen with calendar summary and or program snapshot access (weather app, stock app, etc.) and the addition of the iphone clock application with alarms.

- multi-tasking already exist its called backgrounder and after reading many post of people with iOS4 and Backgrounder it is clear that the current backgrounder app already available for the iPad is much better than the kinda background stuff iOS4 has to offer.

- popover works already if you background the app your in

- the camera kit is easily use to connect a thumb drive using iFile. it couldn't be an easier you just plug it in and use iFile to access.

- no need to hope for a useful lock screen it is already available called LockInfo and keeps getting better in the iPad.

sounds like the current OS has you covered :)
