Upmixed from the original stereo recording.

Great choice.
I am still a bit cool on Dohnányi. But that is just me. :)

Oh, that is brilliant; love Smetana's "Die Moldau" - beautiful, just beautiful......

Have you ever listened to the full cycle of Má vlast?

Gorgeousness from start to finish.

…Vyšehrad
…Vltava (aka Die Moldau)
…Šárka
…Z českých luhů a hájů
…Tábor… Blaník

PS
(I confess I did copy and paste the names. ;))

Living Stereo series. Some tracks are stereo, others triphonic, recorded in 1955 or 1958, as shown in the picture. I have the EU version.
Bartók - Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta — another favourite.
I first heard this when Kubrick used it in The Shining.
Such eeriness.

In my local bookstore I recently spotted a CD of the full cycle performed as a piano duo. I admit to being deeply tempted but suspect I should absorb the full piece in its symphonic form first; nevertheless, you may find it worthwhile at least sampling its tracks. I'd be curious the thoughts of anyone more familiar with this piece:

Yes, I did.

Not only that, I have an "old" (from the late 80s - still in the Soviet era) double album (LP) recording of Ma Vlast.
