I've been listening to quite a bit of country, bluegrass and such over the last couple of days. There was a time I really couldn't stand any of this type of music, but one day it just clicked. Then again, those days I mostly listened to metal in it's various subgenres, and while my horizons have broadened quite a bit since those days, there are still Abruptum and Air records, among others, in my shelf, living in perfect harmony.

Anyway, Chris Stapleton really has a set of pipes on him that you're not going to encounter that often. The rest of the band is really great as well. I'm a bit sad that Stapleton only recorded two albums with The Steeldrivers, but then again the "new guy" isn't really half bad either.

Probably racked up 100 plays for this one in the past week...
Mina - Se Telefonando (interesting fact... this tune was composed, orchestrated and conducted by Ennio Morricone)
Ah, Mina. :) My husband is a great Mina fan… I'm a Milva fan.

But this is such a great song.

Thanks for sharing.

Edit: Ennio Morricone, was just listening to some of his soundtracks yesterday. He certainly knew a thing or two about writing a good tune and creating a mood.
As a film score composer tied in my estimation with Angelo Badalamenti.

I love Ennio Morricone; a few years ago, as a Christmas present, my brother got me a really good ticket - great sight lines and a superb seat - for an Ennio Morricone concert during what had been advertised as Morricone's last European tour.

It was brilliant.

Dalla: Caruso, sung by Luciano Pavarotti.
[doublepost=1536439479][/doublepost]Followed by Recondita Armonia from Tosca, by Puccini (sung again by Luciano Pavarotti).

And then, La Danza by Rossini, Funiculi-Funicula (can you imagine anyone other than Italians commissioning a piece of opera to mark the launch of a funicular railway?) by Denza.

Then, Nessun Dorma from Turandot by Puccini. All sung by Luciano Pavarotti.
