A long out of print album, Buckingham Nicks (1973) on vinyl. it was never officially released on CD because Lindsey Buckingham hated it. I disagree! I love this album! If you love Fleetwood Mac, I think you would like this.

Here's a sample song from the album

Absolutely amazing album. I'm trying to score a copy to add to my vinyl collection but it's incredibly hard to come by.

I have just received in the post today a CD I have been trying to track down for ages. It was either out of reach financially (which is when I last saw it listed for sale around a decade ago), or simply labelled 'unavailable'. To my surprised delight, I spotted it a few weeks ago, and clicked to buy it.

An email exchange with the vendor ensued - he politely explained to his embarrassment that the CD was not quite in the exemplary condition it had been advertised as, and was prepared to offer me a discount, which I gladly accepted.

The CD is the soundtrack of the movie 'Sabata' (starring Lee van Cleef - I may have mentioned once or twice, that I rather like Lee van Cleef, especially when he played suave characters in spaghetti westerns). The music is by Marcello Giombini, another of those gifted Italians who also wrote scores for movies, - especially soundtracks for spaghetti westerns - but is not as well known as Ennio Morricone.

I had to special order it back in the 70's because at the time (I'm not sure what year) it was already out of print. Made a digital backup just in case. I agree with you, it is an amazing album.

Yeah it definitely tanked in the market from what I read and Lindsey was all ready to make a 2nd BN album when Mick Fleetwood approached them to join Fleetwood Mac. A few of the songs that were slated to be on a new BN album ended up on the Fleetwood Mac white album instead. I'm pretty sure Rhiannon was one of them.

My usual daily rompings across the net, especially when it comes to music and playing guitar (something I've done for the past 26 years) generally takes me across to JamTrackCentral, and seeing some killer performances there.

Lately I've been on an Al Joseph kick. And since my son has pretty much decided to graduate himself from watching Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends to Transformers: Rescue Bots, I'll throw one of Al's tracks that is apropos: The Shores of Cybertron.

Procul Harum - ah, well, that brings back memories. Brilliant. Wonderful listening.

Actually, I had a superb, rather high quality (supposedly relatively rare) 12" single of "A Whiter Shade of Pale"……….

I have the album on vinyl I bought in the 60's which I haven't listened to in years. I need to listen to it again.

Second, which is why I was posting, is because I found this one at JTC, of then 16-year old Jess Lewis. Here's she's actually performing a cover of Guthrie Govan's Wonderful Slippery Thing. While Govan has more of a bluesy/wah feel to it, Jess is more jazzy/fusion, plus a bit cheeky (She pulls a Steve Urkel "did I do that?!?" look at the end). Anywho, enjoy!

Very nice! I've been playing bass since 1969. That being said, I need to find a new hobby! lol! These musicians are amazing....

You see!

This thread sends people scurrying back to old classics they may not have listened to in years - nay, decades - with timely prompts………

Certainly, there have been posts which have sent me back to the vinyl vaults in search of sounds and songs embedded deeply in my memory…..

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young -- Studio Archives 1969

Ah, now this is what I call really good music! Great stuff……

Actually, there is a reason some of us are still listening to music from the Sixties. It is not simply nostalgia, and nor even, the idea that this was the music that was playing when we were young (or younger). No, it is that a lot (by no means all, granted) of this music has stood the test of time remarkably well.

You would write YouTube: [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=nG1gRK5b_v0]video[/url]. The middle part is the string after
Code:
v=
in your original link.

It still doesn't show as an embed on my login despite it having been edited presumably by a mod.

is that normal?
