Wow, @Scepticalscribe , thanks for turning me onto this!! I absolutely love it! I know quite a few people who'd love it, too, so I'll have to send it to them. The metric modulations in the title track are amazing!
I had a feeling that you would like (if not, love) this; personally, I think it an extraordinarily powerful track (this applies to the entire soundtrack), and the keyboards are absolutely compelling.

I absolutely love bluegrass (and most all folk music in general)!! This was in that local folder of music one of my instructors gave me at the beginning of the school year. I'm still going through it all! I've only made it through about a quarter of it so far! I mean, given the fact that when I hear something I like, I listen to it for days straight, it'll take me awhile.

OH, boy!!! I love this, too! Gonna hop into iTunes right now and see if it's available -- this one needs to be part of my music library!

Haven't seen anything new from Pomplamoose in a long time. I could listen to her sing in French all day...

Fun factoid: the bearded guy on keyboards is her partner, is co-host of a great music channel Dead Wax, and his day job is CEO of Patrion!

I love Steeleye Span, (and have many of their albums), loved the Clannad soundtrack to Robin: The Hooded Man, and love Renaissance, Medieval, and Baroque music, (and much classical music) yet must admit that I had never come across Amazing Blondel.

Thank you for introducing me to their music; a fresh musical discovery - how wonderful.

Brad Mehldau - Nice Pass. I actually remembered the bass solo (starts at around 10:45) well enough to sing it along with the record. And believe me, it's been FOREVER since I last listened to this, so I almost can't believe I remembered the whole thing. It's one of my all-time favorite upright bass solos.

So glad to hear I could introduce you to Amazing Blondel. I have known them from their first album onwards.
BTW, I too am a fan of Steelye Span and Clannad.

We all get old, eventually. It doesn't bother me too much that I am, but seeing some of my lifetime heroes age, sometimes does.
The last couple times I saw Phil Collins on stage, he was so worn down, in a wheelchair, and it made me so sad. Peter Gabriel looks so much older too, although his singing on "I/O" (his first album in 22 years) is STILL blowing me away, and he's 78! His vox are still top-notch.
Here, another of my heroes, Mark Knopfler (Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Twistin' by the Pool). He had a very bad motorcycle accident mid-life, and couldn't move around very much after that, but his musical output never suffered (it did mellow). On this tune he is still singing top-notch, his guitar playing is good but doesn't have that "snap" anymore. Will still be buying his next album.

Both my wife and I are huge fans of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler. One of the remaining true great artists.
One Deep River is just one more proof that he "still has it".

BTW We followed this auction live yesterday, mind-blowing !
