I was also just listening to this on vinyl, too! My family has made sure to have all these classic albums (and lots of others) available on LPs.Morning Has Broken
A box set of LPs?Been going through our vinyls, so I’m listening to the best rendition of “Greenland Whale Fisheries,” by The Weavers. Included in a box set of 6 folk music LPs by Vanguard Records.
A terrific track from a timeless album.Going to see my favorite cover band this weekend, "Which Ones Pink". Since I saw a few Pink Floyd reference here, I thought I would join.
One of my favorite songs... not only by them, but period!

Your post was a timely, indeed, a most timely (and all puns are fully intended given the splendid content of the tracks of the album in question) reminder to listen (once again) to the legendary album Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd, which is what I am doing just now.Going to see my favorite cover band this weekend, "Which Ones Pink". There is evidence of that folk tune as early as the early 18th century, according to my small bit of research--I would have expected it to be at least 100 years newer!Been going through our vinyls, so I’m listening to the best rendition of “Greenland Whale Fisheries,” by The Weavers. I managed to find a 5.1 surround mix of DSOTM (can't remember if its on DVD-A or SACD) and it's glorious! To hear that panting runner run from left to right, then along your right side, then circle and run back left, behind you, is amazing!Going to see my favorite cover band this weekend, "Which Ones Pink". Not sure why that music format never took off; it's still common on Live Concert mixes, but not audio-only releases. Snarky Puppy and Tom Petty had a few releases in the format, but the Puppies have dropped it now, and Tom's gone. Most of the Surround Sound releases these days are remixes of older material (some favorites are DSOTM, Brothers in Arms, a bunch of the older Spiro-Gyra albums, Roxy Music's Avalon, and the Donald Fagen solo catalog. They tend to go out of print quickly, and I scour amazoid and the local CD shops for used copies when I can.
I keep hoping Steven Wilson gets to remix Steely Dan's Aja in 5.1, before I wake up on the other side of the sod...

I don't have the SACD version, but I do have the 50th anniversary edition Blu-Ray version which is also 5.1... amazing to say the least. One of my favorite plays! It also has a Dolby Atmos mix, which I can't take advantage of, yet, but from the reviews folks seem to be pretty darn happy with it!
He's in my top 3... A voice smooth as butter. Yes, gonna listen to only Dean today.Dean Martin - Ain't that a Kick in the Head
