^^ I like that one too. I like a lot of what people suggest in this thread... wondering if I can feed the whole thing through Apple Music in three months. Just in case I bail after that :) At least when you play whole tracks you get more of an idea than with previews.

Listening to the new G. Love and Special Sauce's SUGAR album which is quite awesome.

Supertramp's "The Logical Song". I listened to it a lot while doing homework just as I'm sure it was intended to be.

Great song, and, actually, an excellent album which hasn't aged with a large number of very good tracks; you can still listen to it and thoroughly enjoy the experience.

'Goodbye Stranger', 'Child Of Vision', and 'Take The Long Way Home' are also great songs, to my mind, up there with 'The Logical Song' (which is brilliant).

Needless to say, this album is in my iTunes library (and I still have the CD, what seems to have been called 'a deluxe edition'). Another from Supertramp, a 'Greatest Hits' album, also finds a welcoming home in my iTunes library….

This 65 y/o student in the Khan Academy thinks that song would be good in the background. Thanks!

Well said.

One of my favorite songs and albums. Never gets old, between this song and Breakfast in America... classics IMHO.

Just finished listening to Breakfast in America and The Logical Song after reading this post. Great songs!

Well, that has prompted me to seek out 'Take The Long Way Home', which I am listening to, and, am listening to along with the others mentioned, and finishing up with 'Child Of Vision'…...

Came in the mail yesterday! I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole album yet. I'm about 1/2 through. I've had to go back to Overlord a few times - really liking it. And.. that bass outro on Embers

Well, it is Sunday, and that might prompt thoughts in a certain direction, but I have just listened to the extraordinary 'Sanctus' from the "Missa Luba" (African Mass) originally written ad put together by Fr Guido Haazan in what was then the Belgian Congo in the late 1950s.

This is the piece of music that was played - endlessly to amazing and haunting effect - in Lindsay Anderson's briliant 1960s movie "If…."

There was a period in my life when I counted that as my very favourite movie…..

A few from Simple Minds: 'Don't You Forget About Me' (from the soundtrack of The Breakfast Club), 'Belfast Child', 'Someone Somewhere In Summertime', and 'Alive And Kicking'.

Well, I have graduated to the timeless elegance - bitter sweet, but, oh, so exquisite - of music from a decade or two earlier with the wonderful Simon & Garfunkel; these are really lovely songs.

'The Boxer', 'Scarborough Fair', 'I am a Rock', 'The Sounds of Silence', 'El Condor Pasa', 'America' and 'For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her'...are all wonderful songs. As are many others which they wrote, recorded, and released…..
