Check this out!! This is one of my all-time favorite tenor sax solos. Transcribed it years ago, I still remember every note!

Recorded in the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal in June 1969 during the infamous Bed-In for Peace.

Participants included Allen Ginsberg, Abbie Hoffman, Tommy Smothers, Timothy Leary, Petula Clark, Dick Gregory, Murray the K, Derek Taylor, Rabbi Abraham Feinberg, and members of the Radha Krishna Temple.

Never heard this particular one, I’ll have to check more of it out! Hank Mobley had some great solos! I transcribed a few off his record “Soul Station” a couple years ago. Did a show where I played all of Hank’s solos on melodica while one of the other band members sang them along with me. It was totally silly but it worked!
