What do you mean?

The thread title is

What are you trying to keep yourself from buying?

You said you were trying to decide between two items. I was wondering if you were trying to decide between those two items, which one you were trying to keep yourself from buying, as per the subject of this thread.

I can't explain it any clearer than that.

Do you get it?

A drone. Yes I am trying to decide between the two.

So you are trying to decide which drone to keep yourself from buying rather than buying both?
Exactly

I think there's a basic deficiency in communication.
Not really the answer to the thread was A DRONE. I chimed in with not sure which one I want of the two, my first response clearly states that. There is no rule in the thread to reply with just one item.

Several things.

An Adeney, Swaine & Briggs briefcase (perhaps the Paternoster); the newly released Bowers & Wilkins P9 headphones; another (as if I need it) Mont Blanc fountain pen, the Blue Hour (mid size).

Not the iPhone SE?

Hm.

Brothers shall be invited to subsidise that purchase.

Other Brother even mentioned it in passing, before dropping the vaguest of hints that if I have any MBAs that require a new home, he loved the last one I gave him, all of three years ago.

Decent Brother has first call on ageing MBAs, though.

Every time I see this thread I feel like it should be called "What is your wife trying to keep you from buying?" But maybe that's just me. :p

This is very nice and stylish but as a watch enthusiast, I urge you to look into watches from companies that specialize in watch making for better value.

I am in complete agreement with you on this; if I am to buy a watch, I will buy it from a company that has specialised in the art and craft of making watches for decades, (or, even, at a push, for a century or so).

Not in my house. Bought a Volkswagen Golf last weekend with the full approval of Mrs AFB. Don't think she has ever told me I couldn't by anything in all our years together.

Should have never test drove this.
If you can afford it they are lovely cars. I picked up a nearly new Golf last weekend and have to say the build quality is superb.

I can afford it with no problems. The only thing is that now I am cycling to work instead of driving, and have only put 3,000 miles on my car this year.

Seems like a bit of a waste to have a $40,000 car depreciating in my driveway, and not being driven.

The want is strong though, and the dealer keeps calling me with better offers.

Well if he's chasing you leave it awhile. He might make it an even better offer!

All cars depreciate dramatically from the very the minute you drive them off the garage forecourt - which is probably why buying one as a two or three year old car may represent the best value for money.

Wednesday night I realized I cracked the bottom of my 110 years anniversary pen. I took the pen to the boutique and I almost got convinced to get the Johan Strauss donation pen. Now I'm trying to keep myself from buying it. I mean, it's for charity!
