Been looking into one of these.

My launch day iPhone 7 has soldiered on all the way until now, but I'm really trying to make the September home stretch instead of springing for the 13 Pro.

The 13 Pro is tempting and my dying phone is all but pushing me towards it. However, I'm very intrigued and hopeful for the 14 Pros (especially hoping for an improvement in camera hardware + a notch redesign).

That's an impressive wait. I'm on a XS and as long as nothing catastrophic happens to it before September/October the 14 pro will replace it. Battery life is in the toilet but mostly fine otherwise.

It's most certainly been a long time coming. Every year I found some excuse or the other to put it off but when my tech usage went into overdrive during the pandemic, my phone aged a few years faster just because I was on it so much. Battery life is pretty much non-existent right now.

I'm with you. Hoping nothing untoward happens to mine as well. Jumping straight from an old 7 to the 14 Pro will probably feel like using alien technology for me.
