The Hunger Games. Absolutely brilliant thus far, albeit bleak in a frighteningly imaginable sort of way.
I read that last year. It's kinda boring, IMO. But that might be because of the fact that it's been translated so many times that it's word usage has suffered tremendously.Reading Night by Elie Wiesel for English class. Gives great insight on what it was like to live through and eventually survive a concentration camp during WWII.
What chapter/part are you on? It's a very good series. I think I'll have to reread it sometime soon. The Hunger Games. Absolutely brilliant thus far, albeit bleak in a frighteningly imaginable sort of way.

Agreed. Try not to get too into it, I know a decent amount of people who got pretty angry at the ending of Mockingjay.Chapter 15... of the second book. I'll probably have that book done by tonight or early tomorrow. They're real page-turners.

I just finished:
War by Sebastian Junger
Robopocalypse by Daniel H Wilson
What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell
And I just started The Rising by Brian Keene.
I just bought a Kobo eReader, and I'm reading about a book a week right now. I'm trying to alternate between non-fiction and fiction.
Economic & Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844
by Karl Marx
If you enjoyed War, you might like the documentary "Restrepo."
And, what did you think of Robopocalypse?
The death of Juan Restrepo and especially the reaction of his company to his death figures prominently into the narrative of War. Unfortunately watching documentaries on the subway doesn't work so great :3
Not impressed. Robopocalypse is to World War Z what Transmorphers is to Transformers. While that's a little bit harsh, it just really failed to live up to it's potential.
I agree, using the structure of WWZ could have worked, but the narrative voices fell flat and there were times when the narrative skipped over parts I thought were essential. A few scenes really freaked me out, but overall I wasn't impressed.
Just started Game of Thrones, just as good as I thought it would be. For those looking for a more focused discussion and a family tree, I just revived this thread: Any George R.R. Martin Fans?

Over here I read the first 4 books over the summer after the show had aired. Epic! I actually love how long each book is, it's easy to get lost in the story for a couple of hours and I would hate to finish too quickly (especially when you consider how long it takes for GRRM to get the next one out...)
I'm on Dance with Dragons at the moment, about half way through.
