Not a book reader, but someone who is, and who's opinion I respect, is reading John Grisham's The Litigators. Reading = devouring.

He waited 3 months for his name to come up at his library, and he says this one gets back to the old Grisham, that recent novels have lacked.

A Clash of Kings. 2nd book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series (aka Game of Thrones).

Actually pretty much in line with current season 2 HBO developments, but I'll finally be ahead in the book reading by this week's episode.

"Wolf Hall" by Hilary Mantel - I read it two years ago, and found it excellent, but, as the sequel ("Bring Up The Bodies") - the second of three books - is due to be released later this week, I thought I'd revisit it first before embarking on the sequel.

The second book of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin (ya know, Game of Thrones). Damn, it's good.

I am currently reading on my Kindle....

The last and very best of an excellent series. I had looked forward to DH with some trepidation, as a lot of the series (especially, PoA, GoF, OotP,) had been really superb.

Of course, I wanted to find out what happened, and how the various story arcs were resolved, but, beyond that, - simply satisfying curiosity and the age-old quest to find out what happened - there was the fear that DH - like a lot of final books in a compelling series would be a bit of an anti-climax, or let-down, when I read it. It wasn't. To my mind, it is actually the best of the lot, and that is saying something, as so many of the earlier books were really excellent.

HP, truly an impressive series with an outstanding ending...

I just finished the second of the Hunger Games books called Catching Fire. I really can't critique it without dropping some heave duty spoilers, but it gets a thumbs up. Seriously, if you plan on reading the series stop right here...

spoiler>> I just could not believe she and Peta and most of the previous victors ended up back in the arena!! For a while I felt deflated regarding the story, however I recovered, am happy with the ending and looking forward to the final book. I need to reread the ending again...<< end spoiler. Please cover your replies as appropriate. :)
