For you, there's really no reason to use MS Edge, because both Edge and Brave are just Google Chrome with a customized skin and a few additional add-ons built-in, but the rendering engine is the same.

I like Edge better than Chrome, simply because it looks better and has a few features built-in that I like. But the ability to use Chrome plug-ins/extensions while handy, is not perfect and quite a few of them don't work in Edge, even though they say it will.
Almost...

Whilst they both use the Open Source Chromium...Edge doesn't start with Google Chrome and remove 'Google' bits to add their own. It simply starts with the vanilla Chromium code (which can be audited) and customises it (as do Chrome, Brave, Opera, etc.).

The reason for using Edge/Brave/Opera over Chrome (if you consider them all as 'Chromium' as they're almost identical other than the interface/skin) is purely to stop all your browsing & tracking info going to Google. In Edge's case, it just means that some of that stuff doesn't go anywhere, and some goes to Microsoft instead.

Safari! I've tried Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and even the new Edge but never enjoyed them that much. I love how seamlessly Safari syncs my history and bookmarks between my devices, and handoff is amazing. Those two things have kept me addicted to Safari. Maybe one day I'll switch to something else, but for now Safari is my #1 choice.

Opera and SRWare Iron which both have excellent privacy protection features.

Safari comes in a very distant third (only use if required due to web site incompatibilities with the two aforementioned browsers).

Pretty much only use Safari. Does what I need it to.

Safari doesn't even work properly with many websites.

If I want to use certain airlines to choose my seat, then I have to use a Chrome based browser or Firefox as the seat selection element doesn't show.

Many UK Government websites do not work with Safari either.

Instead of things improving, I'm finding more and more sites that refuse to work properly with Safari.

It becomes annoying when I am trying to submit information or complete a form/booking and I have to restart the entire process in Chrome as Safari refused to play ball.

Mainly use Safari, but use Firefox when having to use the occasional website that doesn't play well with Safari.

After a month of using Firefox instead of Safari, I can say it was the right decision. Faster, snappier, no useless memory/energy wasting complaints, keeps me logged in where I want to, doesn't force old iCloud bookmarks in favorites in new tabs, ad blocking management is better than in Safari, and so on.

Good to see a decent number of people here using Brave.

I use Brave, with Chrome or Safari if Brave doesn't work nice with something.

Glad you're happy with Safari, but just FYI, Firefox (for one) has the ability to sync between devices - and OS platforms, be that Mac, Windows, iOS or Android.

Oh, I wasn’t aware of that. I haven’t tried Firefox on my phone before.

I used to be on Opera but got wary of the Chinese implications. So, I switched to its spiritual successor Vivaldi.
I love to be able to use the same browser and sync between almost all my devices be it mac, linux, windows, android. The sore thumb is iOS were you're sol.

Been using Brave for the past month - much faster load times than Safari and the ad blocking is solid. Safari is still in use for a few sites.

Lockdown Apps is in the App Store and it's great for Ad Blocking in Safari. It also has a built in firewall and you can setup a VPN if you like. Unfortunately I dropped down from Catalina back to Mojave and Lockdown Apps needs 10.15

Sticking with Safari. It works perfectly fine for me. Others don't scroll as smooth or use a lot of CPU for some reason. Also like the Touch ID integration and top sites view has all my most visited sites in a nice grid that is better than bookmarks on others. Been using it since my 2012 MBP and I cling to what I'm used to.

My PowerBook G4 laptop I'm using Internet Explorer 5.1 Mac edition and set it to browse 'theoldnet.com' site. Kinda neat if I'm in the mood for nostalgia.
