What Apple can do with the iMac:

&smaller iSight (it is bigger than the MacBook [Pro]'s).
&smaller chin (as said a lot).
&i want the apple to glow.
&ports moved, i think the ports are inconveniently located, maybe on the
bottom & have it (very) lightly labeled on the chin.
&it'd be kinda cool to make the iSight have a shutter, so it doesn't show when
not in use, and that could also eliminate the green light. it would look a
lot more streamline
&more ports
&black option, obviously. a matte black might look weird though.
&maybe thinner...it looks good now, but thinner would be nice.
&that's all i can think off.

Why a smaller iSight ? won't give better video ????
Smaller chin: Yes
Glowing Apple: Yes I really want that
Ports are fine, but we need an extra USB, both audio in and out to be digital and a Dual Link DVI
Shutter: Nah
Black: Yes
Thinner: If they can :p
23" option
VESA mount
;)

i guess they can keep it the same size if they improve it, but right now its the same quality as the portable's which are the same quality. so either put the smaller one from the portable's into the imac or make it better. :)

i like the imac as it is, but i just wanna see what they will do with it.

I think its been said enought that the iMac needs VESA mount compatibility.

But what i really want, is not a whole lot of new features, such as detachable displays, on the iMac, but a smaller, cheaper version of the PowerMac, with the same specs as the iMac. I really want to buy sound cards so I can record music and video cards so i can play some games, but neither the iMac or the Mac Mini let me do this, and the PowerMac is out of my price range, and probably more powerful than I need. I won't be needing 16GB of RAM for several years to come.

For an all-in-one system, I think they can put a few more RAM slots in, faster CPU, better GPU, slightly, but not completely different design (look how long the G3 iMac kept the same design and stayed fashionable!), and a lower price tag.

I say sccrap the design. It's been a great design, but it's been around for over two years, so I'd think a newer iMac might be coming, but how the **** do I know? If not, then just keep the current design, but I've always thought it'd be cool to have a matching black one with my iPod.

I've been racking my brain thinking about what'd be better in my iMac, and sometimes I think it gets too noisy. I know it's always said to be whisper quiet, but it never is when I'm rendering a thirty minute clip in FinalCutExpress or when I whip out a GarageBand song. Also, sometimes the ports on the back are a little harder to reach in my setup, but I guess it's easier to plug in a USB printer on an iMac vs. screwing a giant thingey into a Dell tower. Otherwise, I'm a happy iMacZealot :).
