Luvvitt iPad Pro 11 Case Crystal View Flexible TPU Slim and Light Back Cover with Shockproof Cushion Corners Drop Protection for Apple iPad Pro 11
From Amazon

I also have the 12.9 and ASK. Looking for a sleeve throw it in also to protect the edges when it’s in my backpack.

Let me know if you find a good (minimalist) one.

I was actually referring to something that protects edges while I am using it with the keyboard case.

I am eagerly anticipating the updated UAG Metropolitan Case for the iPad Pro. I have used it for the past two years on my older device and love it because of the protection it provides, and its very slim profile. It also allows for multiple viewing/typing angles. The front cover can also be removed via a clip-on method. Highly recommend!

Luvvitt iPad Pro 11 Case Crystal View Flexible TPU Slim and Light Back Cover with Shockproof Cushion Corners Drop Protection for Apple iPad Pro 11
From Amazon
I have a Luvvitt TPU case on my current 12.9 iPad Pro 2015 an I love it. I contacted them via email to ask if they were coming out with that same case for the 2018 model and they said yes, next week but it will NOT be compatible with the Apple Pencil 2.0. So.... no go for me! They did say they are planning something possibly in the future for compatibility but don't know when it would be available. I think this whole pencil charging method is great but it sure caught all the case manufacturers off guard.:(:(:(

I saw the updated UAG case at a Verizon store today. Asked if they had cases in stock for the new iPad Pro 12.9 and they brought out a selection. The UAG case caught my eye and I made sure it was for the 3rd Generation. Since it was clearly marked for 3rd generation I asked to buy it. Unfortunately their computer system said there was a hold and could not be sold yet. So I asked that it be reserved for me once it could be sold. No ETA so my new iPad will be nude for a while longer.

They did have the Apple folio in stock but it provides far too little protection for my comfort. At too much cost.

I know about the case you are referring to. The reason that the Verizon computer system had it on hold, is that the case is NOT the final release for the latest OCT 2018 iPad Pros. Verizon should not have displayed it on their shelves. I know about this because the exact same thing happened to me, but at Best Buy. I contacted UAG immediately because I was anxious to acquire their latest case for un upcoming trip, where I would need it. They were very firm in telling me that their final release version of the iPad Pro case that would allow for the magnetic charging/pairing of the Apple Pencil was NOT yet available.
I feel it really is the perfect case, based on my experience with the Metropolitan on my older iPad Pro, and is well worth the wait..........and trust me, when it comes to cases, I have tried almost every form factor out there. My Husband, for example, has the official Apple front/back folio type case that attaches magnetically to the device, ( not the one with the keyboard). The edges of the iPad in this configuration , after holding it for a while, become very uncomfortable because of how sharp they are.

I have been looking for a sleeve too. Most I've found just seem to be 13inch ones.

Dutch so via the german site but perhaps you can find em elsewhere, brand names or so.

11" for me, got the first one.

12.9 option; https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B076J4ZC7D/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Be sure to look at the actual internal sizes, the iPads can fit in smaller bag sizes due to the small form factor.

That's why I haven't bothered so far. I'm in no hurry, I have the keyboard folio right now. I'd just like a little more protection for when it is in my backpack.

Thanks for “the rest of the story”. I am going to try and hold out for the correct UAG case or another case that is protective AND supports the pencil charging. Right now it seems like the available cases can do one or the other. I’d get one of the reasonably priced Ztotop cases discussed in this thread as a a temporary fix but Amazon shows them for late November delivery. I ordered a tablet stand so I can at least prop my iPad up for viewing.

Got an ESR case for £10 also bought a folio as the ESR doesn’t support the pencil. I will probably buy another case later or skins like I normally end up doing.

I have the smart folio. Since the back and front cover are attached, the hinge is stronger. Though, I don’t think the magnets are strong enough when I fold it into a triangle. A slight tug and it collapses too easily for my liking. It needs a fourth panel or something to overlap one of the sides of the triangle to strengthen the bond. Or maybe the cover is so thin that when one end meets the other there’s not enough surface area for the magnet to make contact and bond.
I have difficulty separating the device from the magnets of the case, not the flat part of the case that sticks to the back but the position magnets. Sometimes I think I could throw it against a wall and it would stay upright. Mine are very strong. I have the 12.9.

I saw one person who bought a cheap case but simply cut/sawed or w/e a place free. He spend much less money then the official one and is still happy.

I’ve used this case on my previous iPad Pro and consider it to be the best one out there bar none if you don’t need a keyboard. Full lightweight protection, multiple positions secured by magnet. It includes an Apple Pencil holder on the rear. The new one one has been delayed because of the new charging mechanism for the new pencil. Due to be shipped in about a month or so. The owner of the company is very responsive and customer oriented. Last year when there was a delay with the case he shipped out the previous version to everyone until the new ones could be sent. If you look at the reviews for the previous cases you’ll see some of the highest ratings of any cases. The link is to Amazon but you can also order direct from zugucase.com

The apple Smart Keyboard. Good protection back and front and gives me the option for using a proper keyboard when needed.

I'd like a smart cover but those seem not to be an option anymore.

I would like a 11" version of https://www.amazon.de/TiMOVO-Drehbare-Schutzhülle-Magnetverschluss-Ultradünn-Schwarz/dp/B07H7BT3RZ/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1541511636&sr=8-16&keywords=ipad+pro+2018+hülle+12.9 or basicly the official folio but then not for such a insane price for a piece of leather and some magnets.

Anyone already spotted something?

Also interested in the Timovo. Ordered the 12.9 inch iPad. Still need to wait a bit as the Timovo case won't be available till Nov 25th in Spain. It has support for the Apple Pencil which is great!
[doublepost=1542042463][/doublepost]Also ordered the Procase 12-12.9. It's a sleeve, but the quality is awesome! Perfect fit!

I’m not a minimalist so not looking in that direction. I am looking for ultra premium leather, some kind of folio not a sleeve. Something that would hold a few items as well. Maybe like the ancient Daytimer folios of decades past.

I bookmarked that site. I want a hard case that will also prop up the iPad. That looks great.
