The Apple cases are INSANELY overpriced. Here in Canada they are like $130 for a $10 smart case.

Zugu Cases will be available soon - that I what I am going to get I think:

https://www.zugucase.com/the-muse-case-for-ipad-pro-11-in-2018/

the UAG case looks great too!

I'm using an ESR case (no pencil compatibility) until I the better ones are released and will just return it. When I bought it, they did not disclose the lack of pencil compatibility and it's too flimsy.

After seeing how ridiculously fragile / cheap the new iPad Pro is...I am buying the best case I can find:

So far I’m not a big fan of the folio case. I prefer my moko case on my 10.5 that only cost like $13 to the smart folio. Hopefully I start to like it more since I just got it today.

While waiting for my Pen & Quill Oxford Leather case to arrive in “early” December I got the ESR Yippee case. It was $19.00 and does not support the Apple Pencil, but does a good job of protecting my 3rd gen 12.9” iPad Pro. For the price it exceeds my expectations for quality.

By the way I’ve had the Oxford Leather case on my 1st gen 12.9” iPad Pro, so it says volumes about this case that I’m getting one for my new iPad.

I wanted the P&Q cover so bad! But they just can’t seem to move away from the 3m tape adhesive. I need a keyboard way to often and there’s no way I’m sticking the P&Q on top of the keyboard folio like they recommend. That extra weight and thickness is just a deal breaker for me. But if I didn’t need a keyboard I’d be all over the P&Q one. Wish they had just used magnets like Apple.

Just received my Ztotop rose gold case from amazon.com in the mail today. Thanks to the many people who recommended it. Finally I have a case that works well!

I got the Ztotop case for my 11" IPP. Works great, similar to the more expensive Apple Folio.

To the poster above, yes, only 2 positions. Same function as the Apple one.

I’m strongly considering the P&Q; I like that it fits with the ASk as well. (And I love the feel and look of quality leather.)

Is the adhesive that bad? I was given to understand that you could remove the iPP and ASK from the cover without a problem. Does it leave it sticky?

I like P&Q products. The adhesive does not leave it sticky. But there is a lifespan to how many times it can be resumed. They sell extra 3m tape. I spoke with them and they said the leather cover was to heavy to use magnets like Apple used with their new covers. There’s no way I’m adding something that heavy to my keyboard folio. Seems like it would make Apples cover less secure. Plus the added weight and thickness. Can’t do it. I would want to be able to switch between the leather and keyboard multiple times per day. I don’t believe the 3m adhesive will hold up to that. If you get. It please let me know what you think.

Is there a 30 day return policy?

I got my Sleeve Case and Dash Sleeve from WaterField designs. Very happy with them.

They fit the iPad 12.9” snug with and without the keyboard folio and look and feel great.

I just got my Waterfield Sleeve Case in the waxed canvas for my iPad 11" and love it. I have my iPad in the Apple folio case and it fits in the Sleeve nicely. Also like the pencil holder which is more secure than using the magnet on the iPad when away from home.

I looked at the Otterbox Symetry and the UAG Metropolis cases for my 12.9” iPad Pro. I would be happy with either but the UAG was lighter while providing MIL-STD drop protection and I liked the way the stand worked. They had one UAG left in black at the local Best Buy so I bought it. When I got it home I discovered the screen cover is removable so I am even happier with my decision.

I had the uag metropolis case for my 10.5” pro. Although I removed the front cover that came with it, and used apples Smart Cover instead. When I bought my 11”, I bought the metropolis for it. However ended up taking it back before I even left the parking lot. When using the iPad, I don’t like the feeling it gives with the front cover folded over, hence why I used the Smart Cover with the 10.5”. It’s removable, but takes a great deal of force to push back in. Ended up going with the Apple smart folio. Have a pelican case coming tomorrow for it, which I will use when taking the iPad out of the house.

I’m curious about these. Of the two, the Sleevecase is less expensive (without the strap) and I was wondering why. Isn’t the Sleevecase the one that’s padded?

Followup question: I was considering getting the Sleevecase but on days I was carrying my Cozmo, I want to treat it as a sleeve alone and put it in my bag. Will it fit in a regular bag or is it too thick? (I know the promo materials say this is possible, but I’m curious what an unbiased consumer might say.)

I have the Sleevecase in waxed canvas. I don't know why it is less expensive but it is thicker than the Dash sleeve and also has a flap which would add to the bulkiness. The orientation for the Sleevecase and Dash sleeve depends on the size of your iPad Pro. I am not familiar with the Cozmo case so I can't help you there, but if space is an issue I would go with the Dash sleeve. I have had other cases as well by Waterfield and they are extremely well made and very protective.

The Cozmo is a regular laptop bag that had a cushioned compartment for my iPad as well. Space shouldn’t be an issue. I was just curious about the difference between the two. I love WaterField bags—probably too much. I’m leaning toward the Sleevecase because it can easily be carried by itself, though I’m also considering P&Q’s leather case. It’s the one case that I’ve heard of that will fit both the iPP and the keyboard folio.

I chose the Sleevecase also because of being able to carry it with the strap. I already had the strap from another Waterfield case. That and I love the waxed canvas and grizzly leather look. The P&Q case looks nice as well. Leather is always a great choice. Good luck with your decision. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.

View attachment 806263 View attachment 806264 Returned the Apple folio and picked up the Otterbox case. Just dropped $1400 on an iPad and didn’t want to skimp on protection. Love this case!!

Was debating this case vs the Apple Folio (non-keyboard) and your pictures just convinced me to get this. Damn thats both sexy and gives great protection.

Does it support charging the  Pencil?
Yep, that flap to the right covers the magnetically attached pencil, pretty neat
