I got the Lifeproof Frē for my 7 plus and it's like a batsuit. Very slim and protective yet easy to use and grip.

Anyone else still using the life proof fee as their daily case ? If so how well is it holding up ?

Just upgraded to iphone 7 and 7+ last week and here’s my current set up. Hopefully this helps someone looking for a simple low profile bumper + e2e glass setup. I’m coming from a 5s with a generic G10/Aluminum Ronin (Element Case) with Tech Armor glass on front.

iPhone 7 bumper:

X-Doria Defense Edge Series, Space Grey – Good build quality and fit but the shiny exposed aluminum trim was too flashy for my taste. Surface is matt which is more prone to slip but the exposed aluminum chamfer helps give the bumper a more secure hold/feel.

RANVOO Aluminum Metal Bumper Frame, Black – Good build quality and fit. Same design as the X-Doria Defense Edge but slightly thinner and without any exposed shiny aluminum. Surface is a closer match to my jet black phone so it has less of a slippery feel. Looks great and feels solid – the perfect simple low profile bumper! But damn… I doubt my phone would survive a drop by one of my boys.

Thanotech K11, Black – Ordered based on the drop test video along with the ribbed rubber on upper and lower sides (I was looking for something with an improved grip). This bumper is still slim but beefier than the X-Doria and RANVOO case. The rubber lining is also more pronounced on the front and back… more protection but at the cost of a slightly “fatter” low profile setup. I also noticed that the sides have a wobble allowed by the wider rubber strip on the upper and lower sides. The included back film is a print magnet. Confidence in drop survival? Yes.

iPhone 7 Glass:

Tech Armor prime glass by Corning – Ordered based on good history with their products and customer service. Installed flawlessly. Unfortunately, this particular product was not edge to edge and I wanted a cleaner look.

D&P Ultra Clear 3D E2E glass – Ordered based on reviews here. Edge to edge is the way to go! Installed flawlessly but sometimes I get bubbling on the edges. Possibly the curved edge getting pushed by the Thanotech bumper. I don’t think there was any adhesive under the curved edges. Since the design is black frame with clear window, alignment during install is key. I think I have it lined up properly but the black side bars cover enough of the screen for me to notice if looking closely.

Does anyone have recommendations on a better edge to edge glass that has thinner side frame/bezel? I'm also looking for a better back film for the jet black.
The K11 does the same to my E2E glass. Just how re bumper fits. The reviews on the ThanoTech E2E glass protector have been mixed.

how do you like the screen. I had one for my 6s plus, and the screen gap and rain bowing were too much for me

There is no screen gap like the 6 plus but the rain-bowing is present. I can live with it because you only notice it when screen is off. I'd be splitting hairs if that was a deal breaker. It's noticeably thinner than 6/s plus version and the rear doesn't scratch up like all previous versions.

So I have the Apple official leather case and it is open on the bottom so the bottom part of the iPhone is unprotected, is there a thin skin I can install on the bottom part of the iPhone 7 plus so that the exposed part of the iPhone with the speaker grills and lighting port is at least protected in case i dropped it from minimal scratches, I feel like that would be better Than just leaving the bottom of the iPhone unprotected like that,
Hi have you found any type of skin for the exposed bottoms ?
[doublepost=1488113539][/doublepost]Had been using the commuter and noticed my phone had some sort of circle stain around the logo opening I managed to clean it but I switched back to the apple case , seems that many non apple cases cause damage to the phone without even dropping it lol.

Do you have the Jet Black or Matte Black phone? If it's the Jet Black, does the case do a good job showing off the color?
Mine is matte black and look good on it.

For Jet Black I don't think it will looking great due to the shining surface.

Have any of you tried the Evutec Aergo? I haven't seen any mention of it and not many reviews on youtube but I'm getting one delivered today. Amazon had them for $12 (warehouse deal, "good" condition) so I figured why not try it. I'll post a couple pictures later when I get it.

Haven't tried that particular case, but I love Evutec. I had their bamboo case on my 6s, which I have to my mother... Who recently dropped it off a third floor balcony. Granted, it landed in the grass, but no damage whatsoever.
