I picked up two more cases for my 7+. Silk Armor Tough Case and the Thule Atmos x3. I’m really impressed with the Silk Armor case. Great value. Waiting for the Thule to arrive. These are more rugged than the Caseology Wavelength.

My wife dropped her 6+ the other day, with the x3 and glass screen protector. It saved her phone. Glass protector shattered and saved phone screen as well. This prompted me to look into more drop protective cases for my phone. :D

A few pics of the Silk Armor Tough Case on my 7+.

It’s not going be everyone’s cup of tea or style, but for $20 it’s a great value for a rugged type case. It has a great grip and is not as bulky as I thought. Of course, this isn’t a thin case. It also comes with 2-glass screen protectors. I have a Thule Atmos x3 on the way, but I really like this Silk Armor case.

Edit: I’m sending the Thule back. Flimsy bottom. I like this one a whole lot more!

Any recommendations for a rugged case for a 8+ phone? My wife does a lot of outdoor stuff so has previously used Lifeproof Fre, but with the 8+ being much more water resistant, she's looking for a less bulky case - still with all over cover, but she's much less concerned about a fully waterproof case which obviously adds a lot of bulk.

Perhaps its time to look at a screen protector instead of an all-over case as that would seem to increase the options significantly.

I posted about it earlier, but this Silk Armor case is rugged. It isn’t slim, but it isn’t overly bulky either. It has a great grip and has protective corners. It also comes with two glass screen protectors.

They already posted on their website it will work with the 8+: https://silksmartish.com/collection...ip-glass-screen-protector?variant=50122464020

I’ve recommended this many times, IMO the best possible rugged yet slim case is the evolutive labs solid suit or playproof. A great case!

Although with my wife’s months-old playproof falling apart and cracking, I don’t know if I can really trust this company’s quality.
I really liked my Playproof on my 6+, but was disappointed when I had a drop with it. Somehow a small pebble or rock actually dinged the side of case and left a mark on the phone. It’s almost like the material is pliable and gives. They may have changed that, but I haven’t had a Playproof in awhile.

Can anyone vouch for their Apple leather sapphire case after months of usage? How’s it doing and do you have any tips on preserving and maintaining leather cases?
