I went with gold as well, for the first time ever. I thought I'd order silver, but the shipping window for silver was much longer, and I knew I would be annoyed if my wife's gold phone showed up later this week and I had to wait until October or even November. I don't like the black or purple. Then I saw the gold phone in the green leather case on the Apple website and was sold on gold. (I currently have the Midnight Green 11 Pro and would have preferred a green or blue 14 Pro, but the green case will work, too. This will be the first time I've had anything but a clear TPU case in years... I'm tired of seeing them yellow so quickly and had already decided to go with a solid color case this time. I think the little bit of gold peeking through on the back will be subtle and understated enough for me.)I am going with gold (14 Pro Max) this year, as other than my iPhone 6s (which was rose gold) I have not had "official gold," from Apple if you will. Hoping it looks on point, now the problem is to find a case that goes with it...Apple branded only, leather is 100% preferable over silicone!

My decision was helped by the fact that I bought a Starlight MacBook Air two months ago and really like the color. So I guess I'm starting to embrace warmer metal tones.
My wife settled on the Succulent color for her Apple silicone case. It's reminiscent of Ladurée green, which is right up her alley, and should look good with the gold as well.

In every video I saw of the Space Black, it looked like someone took black fingernail polish and painted the outside band with it. Extremely plasticky. Same look the 3G and 3Gs had over all its body. Maybe in real life it's a bit duller.

I usually get the new color. Currently have Sierra blue, had green before, and planning on getting purple.
But the purple seems to exhibit different shades based on light, so I'm waiting to go into the store to see it in person.

No me. I started getting black on my iPads and iPhone so you did not get the white bezel and never quit.

Yep, it would really detract from the screen. Guess I have been stuck on black or space black, even my last few Apple watches were SBTi. I guess I am somewhat conservative and colors just don’t appeal to me. I did get a Product Red iPod, but then I put it in a black case 😃
