Stargate Command
Windows 10 machine (built late 2019):
  • ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact X570 mDTX motherboard
  • AMD 3900X Ryzen 9 CPU (12C/24T)
  • Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer II 240 (240mm AIO water cooling solution)
  • (2) Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans (120x25mm - High Static Pressure - on AIO)
  • 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 RAM (2@16GB DIMMs - 3600/16.16.16.36 - Samsung B-die)
  • 1TB Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus M.2 NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen4 x4)
  • Nvidia GTX 650 Ti GPU (2GB VRAM)
  • Corsair SF750 SFX PSU (750W - Platinum-rated)
  • Fractal Era ITX chassis
  • Noctua NF-A8 PWM fan (80x25mm - rear exhaust)
Had an AMD RX5700XT 50AE (50th Anniversary Edition) GPU in there, but it ran too hot...

Sold it off, but then the whole GPU market exploded with shy-high pricing, so I am stuck with my back-up GPU...

2018 15" MacBook Pro. I pretty much only use it in clamshell mode these days, so the Studio will be a welcome replacement.

The new Studio 10/24/32/1TB will replace a 2018 Mini i7/32GB/1TB and an Asus Vega 56 e-gpu.

I’ll keep my 32“ ViewSonic 4k monitor.
And the space gray Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad.

Mac Pro 12 x 3.46GHz 48GB Ram, Sapphire 580 RX 8GB, 256GB NVMe drive, all SSDs. Used mainly for audio/music/recording, as well as FCPX and Capture One.

Wondering if the base model with 32GB will be enough... really want the Ultra, but £4k is just a bit much for me, I think. I won't be buying from the Apple store so leave it a week (or 4) to see it in stores/on Amazon.

3080 Ti gaming rig, simply don't play many games anymore. Modern gaming is pretty ****, to be honest. Still like stuff like BG and all that stuff though.

Just buy the base and then buy the M3 Max.
