I didn't mean macrumours. I meant in the UK where I live.
maybe but let’s not pretend that WhatsApp isn’t the most used messenger app in the EU, Latin America and many places in Africa. There is a huge difference between the US and the countries I just mention. Just like Asian countries use wechat and (viper? For some reason)
I like that I can sync bookmarks across windows and Linux, I bet others would too. I find it funny Firefox has picture in picture for a while and they are announcing this for Safari now.since all browsers on iOS are just Safari in a wrapper, you might as well stay on safari
Safari for browser, of course. As for Mail, probably Spark.

I do use Spark as a Gmail desktop client app on my Macs.Safari for browser, of course. As for Mail, probably Spark.
US-based here. Family, friends and co-workers tend to just use either iMessage, Facebook Messenger or good ‘ol SMS/MMS.Apple users that need to communicate with Android users will probably use WhatsApp. I prefer using iMessage wherever possible, and I use WhatsApp for all my Android contacts..I think that this is the case for most Apple users.
I'm in the UK too, so again my OP stands.
I'm not saying it's not popular, just saying that it shouldn't be dictated that all people in the UK only use WhatsApp (yea, I'm exaggerating a little, but since other people are, I'm joining the club 😉)
Still a generalization. You're mistaking a person observation with a qualified fact.
Most folkI speak to use iMessage. Pretty sure more than one of them uses Whatsapp to talk to the majority of their friends. Others use Facebook messenger etc.
Same for me, see absolutely no reason to use anything else, for me personally.Ill stick with safari and the stock mail app. They work fine for me.
My main point is I wish apple would let us use a different messaging app as default.
Same, Spark is a lot more powerful. My most used feature is the reminder for when people don't respond to my mails. I often delegate work and it's so handy that I don't have to keep track of it manually. No more ignoring my mails and hope I forget about them ;-)Safari for browser, of course. As for Mail, probably Spark.
Just the default Safari and Mail app. Any browser on iOS are pretty much Safari anyway, without the extra speed the stock Safari gets.
But like, default how? Can you just hide the Messages icon and move the Whatsapp one into its place?
What default browser and mail apps will you use? I'm fine with Safari on iOS but for some reason I just hate it on Mac. I am a Chrome user normally but am thinking of moving the Edge as it's Chromium but with nicer tracking prevention. So I may switch to Edge on iOS.
As for Mail, I'm a Mail app user that's reasonably happy with the stock Mail client. Are there others that you would recommend?
What combination will you use?
Where is the setting for this in beta 1?
So in Outlook does it do things like allow event to calendar (Apple calendar)Outlook and Safari. Apple Mail is an atrocity.
Agreed. I don't know anyone who uses Messages, everyone, including business and individuals use WhatsApp.Jesus Christ guys it was just a throwaway comment. I'm sorry if I offended you.
