Only got gifts from mom, dad, step-mom, and 1 buddy (My buddies and I always do a Secret Santa every year).

-150 to Amazon
-250 in cash
-50 to Target
-Sweater
-Card saying that "Money Ball" was pre-ordered on Blu-ray
-Liter of Jameson (from Secret Santa, my favorite gift)

This year was a tough one for most of my family. Dad lost his job, Step-mom had to pick up a 2nd, and real Mom got her hours cut, and I still can't find work after a long layoff after college graduation in 2009.

So, I'm very happy to have received what I did this year.

Not too big on the whole gift thing for any occasion, i can buy my own stuff lol, but of course, the parents had to push and ask me what i wanted for xmas and my bday which is in Feb. (My moms reasoning? Turning 25 is a huge step or something) and I did mention losing my brand new iPod Nano so they decided to get me a 16gb iPod Nano 6G in graphite...As for the wife, she wants a tattoo so looks like research is on the way for what she wants...but for me, the best thing about xmas was watching my son open his gifts (attempt to open them) for his first xmas ever...

So sorry to hear that. Hope you have a better year next year. May I ask you what your degree was in?

So envious of your beautiful mandoline, hand mixer, and kitchen torch! I fully expect to see some beautiful ratatouille and some fantastic soups. And if you want to make me some crème brûlée, I wouldn't be too upset ;)

Haha, I've been putting the mandoline to use, but need to buy some butane for the torch and we haven't tried the immersion blender yet. Apparently it really was the year for them though. My brother got one from Christmas, as did my grandmother, and she gave someone one, too. They seem pretty handy!

So glad to finally have a blender, as well.

Big surprise from my wife, I was planning on getting an iPad 3 later this year, but compared to the original iPad I am very pleased.
