I carry a Visa debit card in my pocket when I go out specifically to buy things. If I leave with a backpack, I take my wallet in it, with the Visa debit card within.

I leave my iMac at home and incidentally the so-called "chip" in my cellular phone is being threatened to be cancelled due to my reticence to put any credit on it, being that they have continuously increased the cost of the pre-paid service I have signed to and also minimum payments are now double what I would like to pay. My finance is not theirs nor will I give their greedy hands access to it in this continuing game of cheats and the cheated.

I used to have a box full of wallets from trying all these different ones. I ended up with a TGT Wallet, I have 2 just for something different, but I love them. If your looking for truly minimalist then check out a TGT.

Just get a basic card holder. Often found in 3 or 4 slot configurations.

Example:

They range from the cheap (~$15) to the expensive ($200+ if you go with Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc).

This is my wallet. It's made by Fossil. You can buy it on Amazon. It holds 2 credit cards, and can hold two IDs in the plastic pouch. - It also has 2 extra pouches in the middle, that you can use to hold a couple of bills or even business cards or an insurance card. - I really like this wallet.
