I'm bitter that Apple hasn't made a true successor to the 12" Powerbook -- portability and power with a real graphics card. I have a feeling that Apple will never go back to that philosophy...

1.The mice. 98% of the Mac setups out there are NOT using Apple mice, i think that sends a clear message

2.Mac mini, they wasted both their time and the consumer's time with a completely valueless computer that had great potential. Shoulda just combined the Apple TV with it and create a Media centric computer and be done with it.

3. Uncanny ability to never fully give you what you need in a product. For example, Mac Pro lacking true cutting edge graphics, using the same graphics card for two generations of the MBP, iPhone lacking 3G and non replaceable batteries, no headless towers, ancient cinema displays lacking decent ports and height adjustability etc

4. Hypocrisy. If i remember correctly they trash talked the integrated graphics chipset and now two products live off these. They also said mounting a slot load drive vertically slows burn speeds down dramatically and is stupid, again, the iMacs (G5 onwards) live off these

Maybe im ranting and im sure there's some logical explanation for these but this are the things that make me thing....WTF?

Only gripe is the way they refused to license Fairplay DRM despite their customers and other media providers all calling for it. As a result, the streaming world went with Windows DRM and Mac users are locked out of Internet TV and other services.

ITA. I couldn't believe how many posters here were either happy or indifferent to WMP for Mac being shelved last year since it eliminated any chance of being able to view Microsoft DMR'd videos. And there's no Mac alternative to programs like pplive/TVU for streaming TV stations. For all the assurance about software compatibility no longer being an issue on OSX, that's a pretty notable and frustrating gap. (And the reason I most wish I had an Intel Mac.)

Also agree about the 12'' PB having no successor yet. :( And I can't believe it's going to be two years with a 5G iPod if they don't update soon.
