Great, now Mavericks is the new Snow Leopard. Except Mavericks isn't even that good. I'm this close to just going over to Windows 7.

I think it's great - especially love the AirDrop iOS and other iOS integration (SMS etc).

Something I've been hoping for for a while!

The new features are great. The new look however... yuck. It looks like something you'd see in a children's toy shop. The professional shine of OS X I loved has gone.

I think the new UI is nice, I'll have try it to really see how it fits. I don't see that many features though. Search and continuity. I'm not entirely in the apple ecosystem so the latter doesn't mean too much to me. Search looks ok, I guess.

I like the new look, and the whole continuity feature between iOS and Mac is neat, but it doesn't really offer me much else. Was not as impressed as I was last year.

Love everything that was announced today. Am looking forward to installing the beta shortly.

I like most of it. Especially continuity. They went nuts with the transparency, though. I think it'll look terrible with lots of overlapping windows onscreen. Reminds me of 10.0 in that respect. Hopefully they will dial it down before the release. Luckily the icons did not inherit iOS 7's ugliness, except for maybe the folders.

Dark Mode could be nice...does anyone know if it affects windows in general and not just the menu? I wonder if it's the new interface's "Graphite," and makes the stoplight buttons grey...

From what I saw at the keynote I am a little excited. That may change once I get my hands on it or I may like it more, time will tell.
A lot of the features, to me, are very welcome.

The new look, it's fine, that I'm not so picky about. As long as my home OS works as it should, does what I want/need it to do then I will be more than happy.

I probably wouldn't have even noticed the semi transparent look as much if they hadn't have pointed it out so many times. I'm used to OS's with this, it doesn't bother me one way or the other.

None of the features are useful or interesting to me. I don't care about UI in general, so I'm indifferent to that change. Several features make me specifically not want it, such as searching the internet with Spotlight due to privacy reasons.

I think the new design looks amazing, and modern.

I didn't "mind" the old one, but it does look super dated with that metal gimmick.

This pops and wows, something you can have on your screen and be proud of...A PC user who comes over unfamiliar with OS or MAC I seriously believe would be wowed by it and ask what it is.

I like the flat design a lot but if there is no code to permanently disable the stupid notification center I won't use it. I really dislike having mobile elements like that on my desktop.

New UI well isn't a big deal for me since first rumors but new features are worthy :apple:

Dark mode is available :) so nice looking for me :)

I guess the days of waiting a few years for a new OS are gone...

Its sad because the quality of these releases will suffer. Think of all of the Apple employees who have to redesign something every year.

Wouldn't it be better for Apple to do something really big and blow our socks off like they used to?

Beautiful new UI and great features built up on Mavericks' amazingness. Love it!
