I don't like that there isn't any cord connecting the two pieces, so I can't just hang them on my neck when I don't need them.

This is not a missing feature, rather a glitch with your particular pair. Mine have no battery drain overnight. If the issue persists, you should exchange them.

Totally agreed, left mine off the charger from about 11 pm until 6 am and I had no battery drain.

My only gripe is that they took so long to be designed!

If I'd had these 10 years ago, I could've saved a packet on all the bluetooth gadgets I've bought and summarily discarded. Some headsets/headphones I only used once or twice before putting away in a box marked "Bluetooth Misc." that sits on a shelf in my office.

The AirPods OTOH: I've had them two weeks and I think I've used them every day. Hour-long calls and music have all worked effortlessly. Charging seemed like it might be an issue early on, but in real-world use it's fine. Absolutely fine.

Sorry to be so positive.

(Hmmm. On second thoughts, I guess it would be nice if they made a thin leather cover for the charging case - so it could match my phone. There. A "complaint". Happy now? :( )

- Sound quality (have not used stock earbuds since 1st Gen iPhone)
- Siri
- Easily gets dislodged (mine have fallen out once)

Everything so far is great besides the already mentioned discharge issue and something else a little annoying to me...

When I walk or jog or run and I'm listening to music, if I hold my phone with my right/left hand it will occasionally cut out.
If I place my phone in my front pocket, it will occasionally cut out. If I placed the phone in my back pocket, it will cut out often. I need to wear a shirt with a front pocket or use an arm band for it not to cut out :-(

If anyone knows a fix for this, that would be greatly appreciated :)

skip track with a touch gesture would be nice. I am satisfied with the sound quality because I knew what I was getting into from the start. However I hope they will begin to improve sound quality on Airpods in the future.

One day in the not too distant future it would be nice to hear even audiophiles say they are good enough. That for most people would mean they are great. I am not talking about crazy quality but maybe the same sound as a $100 pair of Sennheisers or something like that.

Wouldn't mind different colors as the white case does get dirty in your pocket no matter what you do. However if it is going to take Ive several years and billions of dollars to create a 900 step process to make a black pair that will cost $50 more I can pass on that.

1. The white noise/hiss sound when no audio (or low volume) is playing.

2. The white case attracts lint like crazy.

3. I would like a more discrete black color option.

4. Switching between Mac/iPhone/iPad is definitely easier; but it isn't as "seamless" as promised.

Edit: I wanted to add that I still love these things. Best Apple product of 2016.

Echoing others, Siri integration. I just don't like the idea of sitting in a library or public area and having to say out loud, "Turn down the volume".

You can always turn them down using your Phone or Watch.....

just thinking about it. i would rather see skip track and volume for touch gestures. Pause play is easy as you just take them out of one of your ears to do this. So the physical gesture to pause them is already there. If you are going to tap it to pause why not just take the pod out?

Seems redundant to me.

The color of them.

Everything else honestly is beyond my expectations. One of my favorite apple devices instantly.

So usually I only use them in one ear it's the way I always used my wired earpods, but now since there is no wire people look at me like I'm crazy when I'm talking on the phone, one guy even started responding to the questions I was asking the person on the phone. Before people could at least see the wire hanging.

Other than that I love them.

I sometimes use them in only one ear. The thing is though you would have to make sure you swap them out. I like having one in my right ear more so worry over time when that battery doesn't hold up anymore.

I know you can get a replacement but would be sort of irritating if one side can't hold a charge when listening to music. First world problems...

But I sort of hate is that even with the double tap they don't work like the regular earbuds. For example if I double tap them and say skip 30 seconds. Once it skips it doesn't start playing again? Or for a phone call comes in after the phone call it doesn't start playing again?
[doublepost=1484291900][/doublepost]I would love it if you could configure the tapping to be like the regular earbuds. Two taps to skip forward three times to skip back. Even though the tapping is a little bit weird. When I am walking with them it's fine I tend to just use my phone which is easy when there are no wires connected. But in the car they are actually more annoying than the regular wired earbuds
[doublepost=1484291994][/doublepost]also same problem if you double tap them and say send a text. Normally if you are in the middle of a podcast and you double tap and tell Siri to send a text as soon as you're done sending the text podcast plays again. For some reason on these things you have to again tap it and say play. Annoying

When I ordered them I was under the impression that when you took out one AirPod, the music would still play in the other but nope it pauses completely and there's no option to change that. If you go ahead and take both of them out and put them back in - music won't resume.

In Bluetooth settings you can turn off automatic ear detection. It can be different for each source device.

Taking them both out seems reasonable that you're done listening until further notice. I like that.

I agree sort of. Wearing white AirPods makes me feel a little like I'm a fanboy proudly displaying my adoration for all the world to see. Then I remember I'm an old dude and nobody, including me, really gives a darn. I'm sure I'll get used to seeing them. It's actually a smart advertisement decision to keep them white.

Oh I agree I dont care what others think of me wearing them I just prefer darker colors for my tech and would be a nice compliment with my matte black iPhone to pair with.

Hmm.. try covering both of your ears while playing music, the AirPod on the left will cut out immediately.

Couple of thoughts:

1. Love the design, the carrying case is elegant and compact, just what I wanted.
2. The sound quality is actually pretty solid, the bass is punchier than I had imagined.
3. They don't fit my right ear. Everytime one falls out, it's from my right ear. I almost lost it on an airport escalator, in an airplane toilet seat, in an Uber on the way to work, etc... As a result, I'm only using them when I'm sitting down from now on.
4. The lack of volume gestures is maddening. I hate having to pull out my phone or blab to the whole world to "Turn it up" when I just need one increment higher on the volume controls.

I'm keeping them for their ease of use and elegant design. Other than that, there's some room for improvement.

That's an "interesting" glitch! It's the right one that cuts out for me - I'm guessing it's something to do with the proximity sensors
