Not at all. The only USB C device I even own is my iPad Pro.

Portless is a rumor that I hope proves to be false. You know how much of a total PAIN in the rear that would be for charging in the car? I have a vent mount wireless charger, but that was for the company van. If I use the vents on my personal car, it would block the AC that already doesn't have enough vents.

I can never get the vent ones to stay attached. Liked the CD Mount one, but our new vehicle has CarPlay, so can charge with that. But if they go portless that is out.

On sites like this, there is definitely an obsession. But I have A brilliant question, does anyone think the average consumer can actually differentiate what the core differences are between USB-C and lightning? I’m willing to believe that 9/10 consumers couldn’t tell you the difference. So do you think they obsess over USB-C? No, not at all. Lightning is still very much relevant for years to come.

Just ask any consumer if having the same charge cable is preferred across their gadgets. No wonder they’ll all say yes. What some try to downplay as obsession is surprisingly close to common sense - which in return is so often absent here.
