Using the 2021 12.9” iPP with no case (looking to get a DBrand skin eventually). I normally use a Folio type case, but I created a Magic Keyboard-like dock for when I’m at the desk. But when I undock it from my stand… I use this portable stand.

And when I’m out and traveling I use a sleeve.

An update on my current set up.

No longer do I use a sleeve, I actually have a backpack to carry my tech essentials. I recently picked up a MK… so I take that along with me. I keep the Fold in my backpack as well, I can always pick up phone calls from Buds Pro and I can see notifications come through with my Galaxy Watch.

iPad Pro 11 2021 with Apple Wireless Magic Keyboard 2 and Magic Mouse 2. No case yet.
I used to have a MM2 with my iPad Pro (had it for about year or so), but having a trackpad makes a substantial difference when interacting with iPadOS.

I’m not really fond of how small the trackpad is on the MK, but on the Magic Trackpad 2….. there’s more real estate and I’m a huge fan of all the gestures (swiping up out of an app, swiping left to right between apps, zooming in and out within apps).

iPad Pro 12.9 2018 wifi 64 gb. Web surfing, media consumption, reading books and scientific papers, writing papers. Smart folio case and a logitech bluetooth keyboard for long writing sessions.

Unstopped debate with myself about smart folio, magic keyboard and ESR case. Sometimes I prefer better protection, sometimes the MK, sometimes the light weight of smart folio.

I feel the same but ease of case removal is also important so no hard shells. I have a flexible TPU ESR case when I want something that doesn't detach super easily and has edge protection.

iPad Air 4 with a clear back gray case from Amazon and a paper feel screen protector. If I didn’t have the pencil I wouldn’t been use a screen protector. I also have a cheaper keyboard case but haven’t used it much.

Just “downgraded” from my 2021 11” IPP to the mini 6. Love it! Wish it had pro motion… but I mainly use my iPads as a as a content consumption device.

Folio case when traveling or need propped up. Ceaseless other wise

iPad Pro M1 11” (2021) with a Brydge MAX+ keyboard case. It adds a good heft to the iPad, but really makes it a viable laptop alternative, especially since I got the 5G version to have data access when necessary. I still use my 2020 Intel MacBook Air for file downloads and other tasks, but this combo + Apple Pencil 2 really is a winner. Next to my iPhone 13 Pro Max they really are a full experience.

Great keyboard- unfortunately I had lots of bad luck with the durability of the thing. Both hinges on mine broke in 2 weeks time. Luckily I got a full refund.

I have the newest model which uses one hinge and magnets. Been working well for two months now.

Are you happy with the Brydge Max+? Am debating between that or the Logitech Combo Touch

Yes, very much. It does add a bit of heft, but the speed is wonderful, I like the trackpad, and it really makes it feel like a MacBook. The Pencil is fun as well.
