I couldn’t go caseless with an iPad or an iPhone, it would cost me too much money lol.

Same here. My devices live in a house with small kids and pets around. Plus, I dislike writing on wobbly screens (thanks camera bump) and prefer being able to quickly adjust the iPad’s angle for writing or content consumption.

I’ve tried caseless with my iPhone and learned my lesson. ;)

2021 iPad Pro 12. 9 inch cellular with 256 GB when it’s in the house it’s either in the Magic Keyboard case or it is free without a case if it leaves without the Magic Keyboard is in the Apple smart folio case and always has a screen protector on it and that’s it this machine has been amazing since I got it launch week and I expect to upgrade to the next one when it launches

I have had my 10.5 inch iPad Pro now for just over a year, so far the speeds have been absolutely fine, the main reason I bought this over the then current iPad Air (with the normal Touch ID) was the double set of speakers, and the ProMotion feature.

The speakers have been fantastic (annoying that spatial audio doesn’t work on the iPad through AirPod Pros, its a couple years too old0 , but i dont know if its just me, but I haven’t seen a massive benefit with the ProMotion..but maybe that’s just me that has gotten used to it quickly

And I am using the Slim Combo case from Logitech - great feeling keyboard and case, but very very bulky, but over half the price of Apples own - and still its bloody expensive too

Love to upgrade to the new iPad Air soon with the Touch ID in the power button, but my 10.5 Pro still runs very well

If I didn't find a super deal on an iPad 11 I would've been perfectly fine sticking with the iPad 10.5 although the apple pencil design always annoyed me.

Current setup, 2018 Ipad pro 11 + apple pencil + Logitech Combo touch.

Usually used as a gaming system(CODM/NBA 2k), Drawing tablet, jukebox, and when doing moble work as a 2nd monitor.

Just picked up a new 11" Pro w 256gb w Zugu case. Was still rocking a 9.7" Pro. Also picked up a Logitec Keys-to-go keyboard. I use the iPad as a tablet and not as a laptop. Indeed, much of the software I use for real work won't run on an iPad, and I work on two 27" monitors (could use more at times). So my typing needs will be pretty minimal (emails, long messages, etc.). Didn't realize just how slow my 9.7 was till I started using the new Pro.

No case.
went from iPad Pro 9.7, Air Gen 3, Mini (Too Small)

And currently Gen 9. It accounts for 100% of my personal computing. It runs all the apps my others did. If I have a day of heavy typing I’ll use a Bluetooth Apple Keyboard. Otherwise, like for this post, I’m practicing modified touch type on the glass.

For work, I use a MacBook Air.

2021 iPad Pro 11' Folio case (navy). Perfect size for outside and indoor use. And the Lidar sensor is actually useful. I skipped on the keyboard and Apple pencil.

I also have a Mini 5 with Zugu case and first gen pencil, but that was becoming too small for my taste. Especially at home usage. I'm still going to keep it though.

I also just purchased a new 11" Pro last week to replace my iPad Air 2 that I bought new in 2015...talk about an upgrade!

I too purchased a Zugo case. I like it and it feels like it will keep things safe. For use in portrait mode, while holding, the edges can feel sharp. Hopefully, that will wear down as I really like this case.

Since most of the time I use the iPad in portrait mode, I am/was considering this leather Torro case:

I was unsure about the elastic strap though.

My main iPad is an 11" Pro which I also use with a Magic Keyboard if I need an ultra-light portable.

I'm also using an iPad mini 6 with Apple Pencil as a digital notebook and e-Reader.

How are you finding the paperlike screen protector? I’ve not put a screen protector on and I’ve heard mixed reviews about the paperlike..

Oh amazing, I’d be interested in your thoughts when it’s all up and running!
I’ve been comparing the Paperlike to a Zugu glass screen protector. I do a lot of drawing and thought the Paperlike would be an improvement, but I actually prefer the feel of the glass protector. I think it’s going to be a very personal thing either way.
