2018 iPad Pro 12.9, 256gb. I haven't used it lately, but every time I do, its been pleasant and doesn't seem to be slowing down even to this day.

Will upgrade if it no longer gets software updates.

I generally don't pay Apple's prices for Apple devices. I either buy used (but in like new condition) or at a heavy discounts (for instance when a new generation arrives, you can even find devices at half the original price). I have a lot of Apple devices, including pro ones, but I always try to give Apple as little as I can. So for the M4 I am waiting for some big discount (including buying from people who receive it through a carrier contract and sell it unopened). It may take some time

I have my trusty 2018 iPad Pro, and I don’t plan on upgrading.

The new iPads look amazing, but my current iPad does exactly what I want it to do.

What about you?
I have an M1 iPad Pro 12.9" from work. When I leave (probably in 2 years, but the project was just funded at least until 2030. By 2050 we have to be carbon free) I will give it back. Then I plan to buy my private one. I hope to get an 11" iPad Pro M5 G5 TB5. With Magic Keyboard, Pencil Pro and USC-C Magic Mouse.
11" will fit better in my bag. G5 means the 5G mobile version to ditch my iPhone Pro (FaceTime only). TB5 is Thunderbolt 5 (not 5 Tera Byte) I would love to have a future Apple Display Pro with 120Hz.
Basic memory because I have gone back to analogue with photos and music (4K video is always streaming) I am running iOS/iPadOS 18 Beta and have given my family the shared photo library and will clink me out. No big data left. But I am thinking about Logic Pro for iPad.
So I like it pure. I gave back my Intel MacBook Pro (like a jet fighter taking off).

Just got the m4 and plan to keep this for at least 5 years. My 2018 pro lasted me 6 years before upgrading.

iPad Pro (1st gen) - would prefer to sell this off if it were worth anything, but alas.
iPad mini (5th gen) - i have three of these on different OSs & will never part with them.

I’ll get another ipad the day Apple makes a full sized model with a full featured OS.

I do the same mostly.

This also allows me to have more devices, for instance not to have to chose between 11" and 13". Got my 1TB cellular 11" at half price (new) once the following generation came out. With less than the price difference I got a like new M1 12.9 celluar for under $800 (only a few cycles). Got the Mk for the 11" for $100 and for the 12.9 for $220 (again the 2 combined for less than the full price of 1). Just takes some waiting, and deal hunting, but it's easy to wait when you already have other iPads to play with.

I got my 15 max 512 for $1KAUD new, retail is $2,549.

Mini 6, plan on upgrading to the Mini 8 if that gets OLED.

I was going to get a bigger screen iPad for viewing but I grabbed an OLED TV on clearance so I’ll be sticking with the one iPad.

Picked up a 11" M4 256g cellular today for $1KAUD, retail = $2069AUD :)
First activated 3 weeks ago, didn't use it.

There is a 13” cellular 500m from where I live for $1100AUD off retail. I didn’t want to spend another $400 lol
Unfortunately I live in Europe, very far from Australia... (was in Sydney almost 30 years ago as I have some family there) but I can wait with my M1...

Recently sold my 11” M1 Pro to get a handheld gaming device. End up not liking it for my use case and recently picked up an M1 iPad Air with the Magic Keyboard. Getting used to the keyboard, never used an ipad with one but it came with it as part of the deal so I figure I‘ll keep it for now to try it out. Honestly quite impressed with this iPad Air though, even coming from the pro model.
