We all think outloud, most people understand that but some take it the completly wroing way. Not to say you wont ever run into a person just being a real jerk for no reason.

JoeBlow7777 is a good forum member who makes good arguments and solid discussions. I know he didn't mean anything behind his post. Nothing wrong with subjecting an opinion, as long as one is being respectful in doing so, which he was.

I can't vote on my phone for some reason. I have both the 9.7 and 12.9 Pros. Just picked up the 12.9 cellular used but in perfect condition for $635. Got the 12.9 cellular brand new for $495. Sold my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and iPad air for about $600 total. Love the big one for note taking and the portability of the small one.

Wow you got some solid deals.

Had an iPad 4. Lagged with severity when I updated to iOS 7 (I think it was a failed update, errors from which I could never fix.) I have a 9.7 Pro now.

I have an iPad Air 2 which is mostly used for Textbooks in class, second screen for my MBP (Duet Display), and a few other tasks that I need to get done when I'm away from my Mac.
I did outfit my Mother and Grandparents with iPad 2's for entertainment purposes.

I love my Air 2 I remember getting it Christmas 2014 thinking WOW this is insanely powerful, now it's just sorta okay but that happens with all tech doesn't it:)

4 iPads, 3 iPhones, 2 Macs, 2 MacBooks, 6 AppleTVs and an Apple Watch? I might be forgetting something. This is not counting the small hoard my wife is accumulating.
One day that'll be me but not today

I use my mini 4 for reading books, surfing the Internet, e-mail, and GPS when I'm on the run.

I use my 12.9" pro as a virtual whiteboard when I'm teaching, and as a math notebook. It's also great for watching movies, though I wouldn't have bought it just for that.

Had an air 2.

no longer functional.

now it's like there's too many choices. ipad or mba? ipad or ipad pro? cheap ipad or something better?

I think apple is simply confusing the matter.

How come we're only allowed to choose two? ;)

Seriously though, my primary is the 9.7 Pro which gets used for web surfing, streaming video and reading (ebooks, manga/comics). Pretty much 90% of my personal computing is done on the iPad. Recently purchased an Air 2 as a backup device with up to date firmware. I had kept my 16GB iPad Air when I upgraded to the 9.7 Pro and was using it as backup but the tiny storage has been quite grating. The extra iPad comes in handy for iOS "multi-monitor" multi-tasking in case the wait for the new 12.9" Pro model is going to take long. :)

I have a soft spot for the iPad 4 + iOS 6 combo so I'm keeping those for nostalgia. Mind, despite their age, they actually do work pretty well in a pinch. :p

Lol, wouldn't call it poor man's iPad considering it's double the cost of the newest released model and iPhones have generally been more expensive than iPads. :p

Over 90% of the few that have voted are running A7 or newer processors. No wonder apps and games are starting to make this the minimum spec to run their apps. iOS 11 is also speculated to remove 32bit support entirely, I wonder what impact it would have on performance if it has any effect at all, atleast it should make iOS more stable right?
Do note, this is MacRumors. The polls are probably not at all indicative of the real world. :p

I have a Mini 4, by the way. I use it for web browsing, email, social media, YouTube and Netflix, accessing and light editing of documents, shopping (amazon and buying movie tickets mostly), messaging, note taking (Evernote), occasional light gaming, and some other app specific usages.
