I’m jumping from the iPhone 12 mini. Is it true Apple has updated to the nylon charging cord? I have heard that, but I have heard no cord is included with the 16 series?

When did I say that incidentally?
Here's one.

I opted for the iPhone 12 last year over the 12 Pro and to be honest if I was in the market for a phone this year I’d definitely go for the 13. The differences the Pro offers just isn’t worth the extra £200 for me personally. The 13 is a decent phone and offers enough of the important features for it to be an easy decision IMHO. It all depends on what the individual values in a phone

15 Pro Max to 16 Pro - the PM is a pain due to size and the larger screen across the new Pro range will make up the difference.

Have Natural Titanium right now, will go for the gold/brown
Exactly the same thoughts.

14PM was very heavy and too large - the new 16 Pro will be a perfect compromise in weight and size with the larger screen size.

My biggest need for the Pro is the AOD.

finally getting rid of my iPhone 13 Mini
I can't decide between the base iPhone 16 or 16 Pro [the max is too big]

14 PM 512 Black -> 16 PM 1TB Black or Silver

Most excited for the new main camera sensor (if the rumors are true) but also the action button.

I made a shortcut today for controlling the lights in my room that I plan on assigning to the action button permanently. If the lights are on, it turns them off. If the lights are on but it's past a certain time, it sets the lights to a dimmer orange color which I prefer after sunset. If the lights are off, it turns them on to my preferred color scheme depending on the time of day.

A magic light switch, always accessible. No more fiddling around with different Home 'scene' buttons in a widget.

Ideally I'd like some kind of ultrawideband system that changes the button's action depending on where I am in the house. If I'm in the garage it should open the garage door. If I'm in my lounge it should toggle the lounge lights. et cetera et cetera... GPS support too, so the action button turns into the media play/pause button when I'm away from home.

I definitely have strong opinions still about pricing of the Pro’s and have never bought a current Pro at full price. I bought a 13 Pro instead of an iPhone 14 due to the fact the Pro was cheaper as it was a year old at the point I purchased it. I never regretted buying the 12 over the 12 Pro and haven’t regretted the 13 Pro Max seeing as I use it alongside a 14 Pro that I have for work which is barely any different. If I think the 16 Pro is not worth the upgrade, I’m happy to buy last years device for a third time in my iPhone ownership.

I was more curious about how you remember me saying things 2 years before you registered with the forum and was hoping you’d dig something out from before March 2023. So are you one of these posters that read a forum for years before joining and study opinions of posters to see how they change? Or are you who I’ve always thought you were, a previously banned member who keeps rejoining (robstar3, Robbosan, sonstar, now Surfsalot) and seeks people out who you’ve clashed with in the past? I think I know

I’m upgrading from a 12PM. It’s the longest I’ve kept a phone for, and it’s time for an upgrade just because I want to. Will probably go with the 16PM 256PM in black, but with the size increase I’m also considering the smaller Pro.

I am going from a 14 Pro Max 512 GB to a 16 Pro Max 1 TB or 2 TB in Natural Titanium. My wife is going from a 12 Pro 256 GB to a 16 Pro 512 GB in Natural Titanium.

Can’t wait!

Why? Many of us still upgrade every year to ensure we get the best iPhone experience. Not for everyone I guess, especially if money is tight, but I genuinely do upgrade every year.
It's more about your usage of superlatives "spectacular" and "gamechanger" about an incremental upgrade so let's call it what it is. A worthy upgrade for those who can afford it and nothing more.
Tech is so saturated the past few years that an upgrade on any device is more likely to be evolutionary and not revolutionary.

15 Pro natural titanium > 16 Pro black or the new colour depending on real life appearance.

Gold/Bronze/Desert Titanium 16 Pro coming from a 15 Pro.

My favourite time of year... new iPhones!!

I'm looking at upgrading from a 15 Pro Max in BlueTi to 16 Pro Max in the newest colour option. I have O2 switch up and changed from a NatTi to Blue to get a better airtime offer. Will use that to upgrade.
I know it restarts the 3 year contract timeframe, but for me that is not an issue compared to being able to get the new device without the upfront cost. And now that you can do it online, it's even better.

I have an odd request. I understand the’s going to be new nylon cords, which is great, but what I don’t understand is what the ends look like. Can someone post a picture of the charging cable looks like. Specifically the end that’ll be inserted in the iPhone and the end that’ll be inserted into the adapter. I want to say the end that goes into the adapter is the same that the MBA uses. Which one works. Number one or number two? Thank you for your help!
