I saw your experiment in the other thread lol I must say it is nice looking back on times using the older devices but my main gripe (which wasn't an issue back then) is how poor the cameras were. We are spoiled now with whats possible!
I had to get rid of mine because it no longer could it update and other features were lacking to. So that’s when I bought the new 7. I’ll keep this till 2024. Atleast that’s how long Apple will be able to update
iPhone X works nice and plenty fast for what I do.
I am using an iPhone XR. It's an awesome phone and the camera is just perfect. I have just updated it to iOS 14.

This time next month will have been two years of using my iPhone XR. I pay for my devices in installments and I want to keep using them after having paid off the final installment. I want to use it installment-free for the period of time it took me to pay for it in full, so that's another two years of iPhone XR.
