The longest I’ve kept an iPhone as a daily driver was the X. I got it on release day 11/3/2017) and kept it until late October 2019, when I upgraded to the 11 Pro.

I understand. You could always trade your device in. That’s what I’m going to do next year, if the 15 PM come out with features I want.

Just don’t trade in with Apple as they give you way less than the device is worth. I’ll sell mine private as the most Apple offer for an iPhone 12 is £325!! That’s if you’re lucky too. I paid £849 for it at launch too.

I have been using the iPhone 11 Pro since I have gotten it and it has been the longest I have held onto an iPhone. I used to upgrade every year, but starting the iPhone X, I have finally stopped doing that. I am excited for the 14 Pro, only because of the battery…my iPhone 11 Pro is on its last leg. I was hoping to wait one more year, but it’s just not going to happen.

I could get a new battery, but the only downside with this one, is that I know I am going to have to give up my iPhone for a few days and I don’t think I can be without my iPhone for longer than a day. I use it for work and because I am always on work trips, I’m going to need it.

So far it’s two years. But I’m really happy with my 12 PM, the 13 didn’t interest me and I’d be happy to keep this phone another year or two.

Depends on what happens with the 14 really. If it’s not a major draw for me, I think I could manage to hold off and see if the 15 gets a periscope lens.

Longest I kept an iPhone was when I got the iPhone 4 and kept it until I got the iPhone 5S, both within a few weeks of their release dates.

About 3 years from an 8 to an SE 2nd gen both brought from launch did upgrade to a 12 as I wanted more storage and picked up the 12 in a deal

The longest I have kept an iPhone ( skipping upgrades) is three years with my current iPhone 11 Pro Max which I have had since launch in 2019.

Back when iPhones where cheaper I would upgrade every two years when you could get the newest phone at a discount if you stayed with your current cell provider for two years. Like I got iPhone 4 and 5 for like 200 dollars.

Longest is my current iPhone, the iPhone X.
Bought it on launch November 10th 2017 so almost 5 years.

Im either retiring it this year when the iPhone 14 comes out if i dont then definitely next year for sure with the iPhone 15.
