One more pie-in-the-sky thing I would like to see in a future iPad Pro: Why not include a built in 3D Scanner? Besides the Occipital Structure 3D Scanner---- there are very few affordable scanning devices available.

Apple is already including dual cameras----why not include the ability scan objects and rooms etc.? Share to Sketchfab etc.

This is exactly where I am at. I really doubt we will see an increase from 4GB this iteration but I'm using apps that could really benefit from a little extra headroom - Affinity Photo and Lumafusion for example.

With the XS and XS Max having 4GB of RAM I see them upgrading the RAM. And with them driving an external 4K display. And the rumored redesigned iOS 13.

There’s a lot of factors that make me think they will, but i’m prepared to be disappointed

There are more than 2....fact check...iPad pro I have has 2
What do you mean? If you have the first 9.7” ipad pro than you have 2 gb ram but the current one already have more ram ...since you mentioned 2gb isnt enough

Okay, do you want more than 2GB or more than 4GB?
He didn’t known that we are already on 4gb ram

The shimmering on the xr is a bit concerning since these iPad are basically bigger XR. Hopefully the quality doesn’t take a hit since we know oled is still a few years away.

I doubt it’s the same LCD technology. The Xr is the budget phone. These are the top of the line iPads we’re talking about, not the entry level iPads.

Hardware:
- A12X CPU
- USB-C with external 4K Monitor support
- 8GB RAM, 1TBB SSD

Software:
- Xcode
- Terminal with complete Unix Shell + Tools + Compilers
- Mouse support
- iOS shows "Marzipan versions" of all Apps + macOS-like Desktop when connected to an external Monitor with Mouse pointer
- USB read/write to USB drives. Even something like dd must work for creating bootable USB drives, eg. for Raspberry or Linux servers
- own configurable systemwide Keyboard shortcuts like in macOS

The iPad should have support for OTG Flash Drives---- It is so annoying that the iPads can import files but cannot write to thumb drives. (Yes, third party drives require an APP to make this happen).

Trackpad support. That is literally the only thing I want, because that is what I need to make the iPad a viable code editor (Other than some more software, but that won't come until the trackpad exists.) I love the lightweight UI's of iPad apps, but having to touch the screen while typing and things like tap and hold to select just don't work if you are trying to write code.

Trackpad support would also mean external displays become a usable thing on iPad for more than just mirroring, because now you can interact with elements on non-touchscreens.

iPad Pro wishlist:

- New Pencil. My dream Pencil would, in fact, be more like a ball-point pen with a button on top; but rather than extending the nib, the button would be an "action" button. So in Procreate, it could be programmed to switch between the current/previous brush, or to bring up the colour picker, or undo. You name it. And as the new pencil (Pen?) will be charged on the side of the device from the looks of it, I hope that does mean there'll be a functional element to the other side of the pencil.
- Second-screen functionality. I don't think keyboard/mouse is quite where they're going with the iPad, at least not now; I would gladly accept both, but as a stopgap measure the ability to have a monitor with second-screen functions would be useful to me; reference photos for Procreate, mixer for Garageband, preview window for Premiere Rush etc. I think we will eventually see the line between iPad and Mac blur, especially with Marzipan and the rumoured A-chip Macs; and I would honestly love nothing more than to plug an iPad into a monitor on a desk and have that be my only computer for everything. But for now, just a second screen would do.
- A really, really nice smart keyboard. I'm sure we're getting one, but an all-over case that includes a good keyboard would be just great. Backlit keys, all that.

You guys aren’t to sharp are you...no wonder fake news thrives

I really hope the new iPad Pros don’t have a kickstand. All of the Microsoft and HP devices have these stupid kickstands and I think it’s really a design compromise.

Make a dummy one out of cardboard and sharpie and you can cradle that in your arms for a few weeks

I hope the update is worth it over my 10.5 to the new 12.9. I've been selling off spare headphones and headphone amp. and digging into my folding knife collection, just so I can have a War Chest. I'm not a big gamer, but if there were spinning bonus coins fo real money I'd be chasing them ;) Oh the agony of waiting
:p

iPad Mini Pro please!!!!!! I love the iPad Pro but want a premium mini that supports the Apple pencil! Apple, please!
