Health 99% already on launch 15 Pro Max with 56 cycles. Never wireless charged, never fast charge (only slow Apple 5W charger), gone just 4-5 times over 80% and never under 20%. I think it recalibrated the last time I went to 100%. If many of you with 100% capacity will go one time to like 15/20% then 100% it will probably recalibrate as well.

Remember when you update your phone your battery health drops which is why I don't update mine

Interesting here is mine I have updated all the updates till couple weeks ago was 100 percent health but now this with 17.5.1 iOS: Interesting here is mine I have updated all the updates till couple weeks ago was 100 percent health but now this with 17.5.1 iOS below . However I tend to use my iPad lot more so most days my 15PM is around 70-75% charged so i am probably using 20-30 percent a day of charge on battery. So roughly 230 days of charging and it shows 114 cycles. I have enough days though away from iPad i use more so it appears I am getting about 2 days per cycle. I use optimized but full 100 percent (finishing from 80 percent at 8 Pm to 100 percent near 4 am next day.:

I usually get the newest iPhone each year and I update the iOS once it’s release. This year I chose not to update the iOS to see the battery health and so far it hasn’t change. Not trying to be mean but most likely Apple know what there doing when it comes to decreasing battery health during and update.

Interesting I watch when I update but more for bugs and issues before I jump but given a lot of them include security updates I tend to keep current since I use my iPhone a lot for bankin and buying I want no malware embedded in security holes LOL. Thanks for replying things to ponder. 🤔

So do you usually just take the iOS update at time of release and go no further? I have found the x.1 updates often important but then the x.2-5 ones prior to the summer new iOS not quite as important except if a feature I wanted was delayed

Most likely I won’t be updating the iPhone. I’ll most likely sell it in July or August before the iPhone 16 release
