Eeek, could anyone even read at that resolution?
My thoughts exactly. Thats just bad for vision anyway you spin it. Baaaad move.
Eeek, could anyone even read at that resolution?
17'' screen, 12'' case,
dual Intel 64-core chip,
4TB ram
Drive that holds back up of Google,
GPS built in,
Slide out tea cup holder.
My perfect Mac would be a Lenovo X61 running the latest OS X.
Why has apple abandoned all the 12" powerbook users?
Do they assume we want the new over weight pigs?![]()
Count me as another "vote" for the PB 12" form factor, etc. I've felt so tempted to make the jump to Intel, but lately I've felt even more attached to my PB. I'd be quite happy with a 12" MBP with the iSight, 802.11n, MagSafe, etc.
My Ideal Mac(Book Pro):
-Black invincible anodized aluminum enclosure that's 1/2" thin.
-Somewhere between MacBook and 15" MacBook Pro sizes with the screen taking up almost the whole inside with only a tiny lip around it.
-A 200 megapixel iSight that sees through my screen.
-1,000 core 5,000,000,000 TeraFLOPS processor.
-40 Tb of RAM.
-250 Petabytes of solid state instant access data storage (don't really need RAM).
-Dual 15.4" touch screens (one as display, one as input and such) both with a resolution so high that it could emulate any image flawlessly.
-A built in reactor that would never run out of fuel.
-No heat issues.
-Lot's of sensors.
-A decent pair of speakers that could emulate any sound flawlessly.
-Adaptive ports that would change to fit any plug.
-Flawless voice recognition that could even read my mind and perform any command I gave it and also have a personality.
-Flawless adaptive copy of Mac OS whatever.
-The spirit of Steve Jobs would live on my desktop.
-And the apple on the back is also a laser.
That should do me for a while![]()
I've been thinking about that but doesn't a USB hub provide a cleaner desktop anyway? I mean connecting 6 USB devices to your laptop or only one hub and everything else into that?a 15incher with more than two USB ports.
Ok I vote for the same but 1920x1200 screen and 2.2GHz instead to save some cost.Given current tech my dream-mbp would look like this:
- 15" @ 1680x1050, matte, led-backlit and with an ips or va panel
- 4gb RAM (ddr2-800)
- 2.4ghz Core2duo
- GeForce 8700M 512mb (with good drivers)
- Largest 7200rpm available (currently the Hitachi 7K200 200gb)
- Current MBP design (the aluminium pb/mbp design is already one of the few timeless classics in computer history)
- FireWire ports on the left side
- ExpressCard-Slot on the right side
- CD-R/RW, DVD+-R/RW/RAM, BluRay capable optical drive
- Usable onboard speakers (at least as good as on the old PBs)
- Better cooling for the left palm-rest/hdd and the area around the left speaker
- Best possible battery in that form-factor
