For the past few weeks I kept coming here on the forums in search for an answer RE: screen protectors...

..I bit the bullet yesterday and got the Zagg InvisibleShield for the iPad and love it. I love that i'm protected in the screen area. I have a little 1yr old baby brother who surprisingly knows the screen is all touch and messes around with some apps like the Toy Story read-along one; at least now i can rest knowing he won't F it up.

...also though, there are some ppl, namely a cousin who has an iPod Touch and hates the new iPad, even after seeing mine and not handing it back for an hour says its the dumbest thing ever, but I can tell he's in awe. My point being he has messy hands, like dirty hands...I don't know why they're dirty, but they just are...iono, i'm at piece now with the InvisibleShield.

(It did take me over an hour to put it on though, and i'm even a licensed Zagg shield installer.)

I tried Best Skins Ever for the screen and it was a complete flop. I've used them for many other items such as iphone and they worked well but not the ipad. I emailed them about it and received no response.

I then tried a cheap non-adhesive screen saver and could not get the bubbles out of it. Lastly I traveled about 30 mins to a Best Buy and bought a Zagg for the screen. After about an hour I have it on and it is the best so far except I still have a few small bubbles. I hope and hope they disappear soon.
If the Zagg doesn't clear up fully and I remove it I won't be wasting any more money on these.

Keeping my fingers crossed on the Zagg

Hmmm. I put the shield on cast night night right before going to sleep. We install them at work and we always tell people to hold on playing with their gadget for at least ten hours, preferably a full day though.

It took me an hour last night and then just left it on my stand for the night, admittedly there were numerous bubbles right before I went to sleep but that's to be expected, just try to squeeze out as many bubbles out as possible. A full day later and here I am with no bubbles at all.

If you don't get it one hundred percent right on then just take it off and try it on again. Mine came out almost perfect with the minor exception of a micro sized piece if lint here and there. Completely not noticeable by anyone else except me knowing I installed the shield. But it's not that big of a deal.

If only it was anti glare but in all honesty I couldn't be happier. I was looking for this for weeks now and now I can finally take my iPad with me out during the day.

Thanks very much. Question for you. You can take it off and try again???

Phantomskinz has a matte version for the iPad. Their site only mentions the full body kit, but I e-mail their customer service specifically about the screen kit.

"Yes we have it for the iPad and yes it helps hide fingerprints, etc. It
also acts as an anti-glare. It does dim the screen slightly though."

I have a regular screen kit from them already, but have not had a chance to put it one since i've gone through 4 iPads due to screen issues (i.e. dust and dead pixels). I've asked them about an exchange so I can try the matte version. I've used Zagg, BSE, and Phantomskinz and IMO Phantomskinz is much better for touch screen. They have a different coating that is really smooth and does not cause tackiness and orange peel that other kits have.

So based on the reviews here i was ready to order the sgp anti glare screen protector and now they are sold out. Just my luck I was thinking of waiting for power support but i think im sold on this sgp one i just hope its back in stock soon

I did this last night in fact, I applied the shield though after turning on the iPad right after the initial time, I noticed an obvious lint stuck between the shield and the iPad glass itself and knew I couldn't live with it. I took it off, though kept having to spray the solution as I slowly pulled it off; I was afraid of stretching the material. Then just reapplied, though the second time around with more confidence and took me but a mere 10-15 minutes.

Just make sure the adhesive side doesn't ever fold in on itself or touch its same side. That would potentially ruining your chances of trying to reapply. If that happens you're pretty much in a stuck in quicksand type of scenario.

I've very intrigued. Anti-Finger prints?! Hopefully a review shows up soon.

What more do you need? I already posted that it does NOT take fingerprints previously in this thread.

While I haven't seen other iPad protectors outside of Griffin, going by their iPhone protectors, SGP's anti-fingerprint was the best I've found. And their iPad one is on equal footing.

I have the zagg on my iPad. Do you find that it blurs the text a bit or is it just me?
D

for some reason I feel the screen just is not as clear as it was without the zagg on. still wondering what the chances are of actually scratching this careen if I don't have a screen protector on it. Has anyone actually scratched their iPad screen?

I'm pretty sure the screen would be pretty tough to scratch. I just bought the sgp anti fingerprint screen because I was sick of all the smudges and glare not so much for the scratch protection

I agree. With the Zagg I don't get the finger prints or glare. Always seems to be a trade off of some sort. I have a SGP on the way to me. Can you tell me how it went on and any thoughts you might have about it?

Actually mine is on the way also I will certainly give it a review when I get it though.

Just got my SGP AF. I have much experience of install screen cover so I instll it quickly and almost perfect. However, the result is dispointing. The screen become blur obviously. It is unconfortable to read website after having SGP AF on my ipad. I have power support anti-glare on my iphone for over 6 months, and the text is much more clear on my iphone. I read a lot of positive review on SGP said it's better than power support, but it's not the case on my ipad. I wonder if there is any trick to make the ipad with SGP more clear. Or it is possible that my power support is used for a while so the bluring effect decreases. Does any one have similar feeling about SGP AF?

I didn't install mine as I'm waiting for my 3g. This is disappointing. The Zagg on my ipad wifi is not too bad but does seem to blur things a bit

There was a great review of the Wrapsol for iPad. I was considering picking one up - does anyone have a discount code???

I just installed the SGP AF on my iPad and the screen clarity is good for anti glare. I previously had the SGP SQ on it but it left too many finger prints for my liking. There is going to be a small trade off using the AF over the SQ in clarity. I would rate the SGP AF clarity with the Power Support anti glare on my iPhone.

If Zagg protector is what Beest Buy is selling, I'd avoid it. They had one on an iPad demo and it felt sticky and tacky to me. I'm waiting on Power Support. I have a PS anti-glare on my iphone and like it. Feels way better than the Zagg at Best Buy. It was horrible imo and it already had nicks in the plastic.

I just compared my ipad with sgp af and my wife's ipod touch with powersupport anti glare installed recently. I go to the same website with many texts and I resized them to the similar font size. Powersupport is obviously more clear even though iPod has much smaller screen. I am a little surprised at this result. Hope somebody can do the similar comparison.

Nothing is better then Powersupport.
