The Green Lantern - pretty good flick, better than I was expecting, but marvel still has much better comics, movies, and superheros than DC.

Transformers - Excellent, much better than the second, lots of good action from beginning to end, a good bit of humor, and the new girl is much better than megan fox...

Going to watch Limitless later tonight, missed that one in theaters. Also want to go see Bad Teacher.. maybe later this week.

Transformers- Outstanding visuals, but I'm undecided. I thought the second movie was better. Maybe I'm suffering from Transformer fatigue. I preferred Foxy lady. ;)

Been looking forward to seeing this for awhile

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (<- I read this when it was just a kid's book.)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt1.

This weekend ABC Family had a Potter marathon showing all of the movies. I watched a couple, my wife watched them all. Finally got sick of commercials and broke out the DVDs to finish Order of the Phoenix, and Half Blood Prince. I'll watch Deathly Hollows Pt 1 tonight or at least before we see Pt2.

All of these movies are good. According to interviews in EW (Ent Weekly) it is a testament to the Director Chris Columbus working with child actors that the first two movies were as good as they were. When viewed front to back, they are an amazing testament to story, the author's vision, and a talented crew of people (Helena Bonham Carter, John Cleese, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Richard Harris, John Hurt, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, David Thewlis, Emma Thompson, Timothy Spall, Brendan Gleeson, Kenneth Branagh), all of the directors including Director Alfonso Cuaron (Prisoner of Azkaban) credited on the screen with turning this from a happy magic kid's story to a dark wizard and witches war story where people are dieing. The cumulative impact of watching the series from front to back is awesome.

Mostly I'm shocked that Snape is really a blond...

Don't know if you noticed it, but Voldemort's snake nose is added digitally. Everything I see him, I notice a fuzzy area around his nose. Here he is with a real nose: ;-)

I don't even get this. Saw Transformers 3 yesterday. It was the worst pile of dung I've ever seen- it made not one bit of sense. Bottom of the barrel absolute garbage.

I couldn't get even 30 minutes into the first one. I'd barely even seen the robots, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Terrible acting, non-existent story, dumb characters. Even by blockbuster-SFX-and-superhero-movie standards, it was painful to watch. I've had no desire at all to see the last two.

Interestingly, I had been looking forward to that movie at the time. I was really into Transformers in the 1980s as a kid. You'd think it would be up my alley. It's not just that I'm older and have more mature tastes now. I honestly felt like my intelligence was being insulted further with each passing minute.

The explosions were good.:p That's about all Micheal Bay can direct are explosions: slo-mo explosions, big explosions, small explosions, backwards explosions...you name it. MB is a genius at filming explosions. He stinks at everything else.:p But when it comes to explosions, I call him Michelangelo Bay.:D

Rented Layer Cake last night. Really great movie, don't know how it escaped me until now.

Now I just rented the Lincoln Lawyer and 127 hours. Not sure about 127 hours, but the Lincoln Lawyer looks like it will be good. For 1$ each, it's worth it.

watched Limitless.... pretty interesting movie, definitely worth a rental.

Going to skip out on the Harry Potter craze this weekend and go see Horrible Bosses and Bad Teacher instead.... I'm in a comedy mood! :D

just watching " once upon a Time in the West ", i just love that film ,since i've seen it the first time over 30 years ago ,thank you Sergio Leone for the great film and Ennio Morricone thank you for such a great soundtrack

Saw Cars 2 today and Green Lantern yesterday. Cars 2 was okay, but not as good as the first. And Green Lantern didn't have much of a story, I thought.

I'll be renting these...

I need to watch this again. Henry Fonda played a bad guy in this or am I thinking of something else?

These are the MB movies I've really liked: Armageddon, The Island, Transformers 1 & 2. I am Number Four- kinda sucked. I did not see the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street but I assume it sucked too. ;)

Armageddon is an amazing, but over the top movie, very entertaining and I think I'm fixated on The Island. I love the spoiler> happy ending <end spoiler, but maybe it's just Scarlet Johansson and Ewan McGregor. Transformers 3 could be a good example of special effects being the story. ;)

Watched Source Code last night. Good movie
On my list to see.

SuckerPunch extended version.
I really enjoyed this movie on BluRay, but only because I knew how to approach it. When viewed with the mindset that this is like a live-action graphic novel (much like Zack Snyder's other films, 300 & Watchmen) I think it can free one up to enjoy the art style, action, and story (plotholes and all).

If you could blend the SuperVixens of Russ Meyer's films with Anime and music videos, you would have something not unlike Suckerpunch

Watched Bad Teacher last night.... decent comedy, had me laughing but definitely not the funniest movie this year.

Watching Source Code right now, I'll edit back later with my thoughts!

Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows Pt 1 before going to see part 2 soon
how was the Dark Knight Rises trailer? lol, only reason I would consider seeing Potter!
