I'm sorry you had to fly to Detroit...Flight from Germany to Detroit yesterday September 16, watched 3 movies
1st - Mollys Game, 2017 release, never saw it. Wow, captivated me the whole time, 8/10 for me
Via IMDB
“Molly Bloom, a beautiful young Olympic-class skier, ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans, and finally, unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey, who learned that there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led us to believe.”
2nd - Drop Dead Gorgeous , 1999
Meh.. 6 of 10, as a time waster sure, but I’d not pay even $3 usd to watch it
Via IMDB
“In a small Minnesota town, the annual beauty pageant is being covered by a TV crew. Former winner Gladys Leeman wants to make sure her daughter follows in her footsteps. Explosions, falling lights, and trailer fires prove that. As the Leemans are the richest family in town the police are pretty relaxed about it all. Despite everything, main rival (but nice) Amber Atkins won't be stopped. There could well be more death and disappointment to come
3rd - Re-watched the Social Network, 2010, have not seen it in over 10 years
Wow, still holds its own as a movie, 8/10 with rewatching every few years, just to compare where social networks were / are / going.
Via IMDB
“On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history... but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.”
Recently finished the motion picture The Gray Man starring Ryan Gosling based on the 2009 novel of the same name. Some of the action sequences were too ludicrous for me (think later Fast & Furious films level), but it was great fun with a talented cast. Wouldn't mind a Netflix sequel.

Gray Man (2022)- Great over the top action. ☺️ I love Ryan Gosling in this, not used to seeing Chis Evans as the baddie.Watched "The Gray Man"... not to bad. Some scenes were a little much, but overall, we liked it.

Plot was a little crowded, but had a great time.
That looks delicious!Saw the musical “Betelgeuse Betelgeuse” 1.5 years ago, loved it. Gonna see B2 this Saturday.
That looks delicious!
Quite a technical achievement for its time. There was a follow on Kong movie I liked that had the bug scene where a crew member is consumed by slugs which somehow bothered me more than seeing humans ripped apart in other monster movies. 😳King Kong (1933)

Better than many of the endless remakes. King Kong perfectly captures the essence of high adventure combined with genuine charm. Must have been absolutely mind blowing in the day to watch on the big screen. There was just nothing else like it in 1933, still well worth the watch over 90 years on...

Pretty, sexy vampires… ☺️Vampyres (1974)
View attachment 2421894
Two women who were transformed into vampires, now reside in a stately mansion in the English countryside. They hunt together, sleep together and do their best to remain hidden. During a rash of suspicious killings their cover is threatened.
Is very 70's, yet has style...
