As previously noted, I am not a fan of Fountain of Youth, along with a lot of others.
However, I watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and quite liked it. Based on the historical book of the same name by Damien Lewis, it is one of the stories in that book.

Captain America: Brave New World (2025)- Hmm. I have to think about if I like this. I think there’s some acclimation going on in the post Infinity Stone Saga era. The plot is ok, not great.
  • The new Widow- as in Black Widow, she’s ok.
  • Captain America- I like Sam Wilson as the New Captain America. However I question, he gets stabbed and takes a knife to the shoulder like it’s not much of anything. We know he’s not been enhanced as Falcon because he complains about how he should have taken the serum. But you remember what the original Captain America went through to be enhanced. :)
  • New Falcon- I like him.
  • President Ross a one off or the New Hulk? He’s too old to be the New Hulk. Maybe Edward Norton or Liv Tyler. 😉 References are made to the 2008 Incredible Hulk.
  • Samuel Sterns- A radio personality as a villain? 😉 I like Tim Blake Nelson but he was a bit boring, too mad and not enough humor as compared to typical roles.
  • What’s this mass that rises out of the ocean? Looks like like a head and a hand made of Adamantium. Oh, it’s a Celestial. https://screenrant.com/mcu-celestial-island-treaty-adamantium-origin-explained/ Eternals reference…I did not like and can’t remember if I even finished this. 🤔

I read the book (Actually titled Mickey7). Was waiting for a consensus on the movie.

Saw Lilo and Stitch last weekend. I thought the live action added to the emotional depth. Good film, but I'm still waiting for How to Train Your Dragon.
Was the book any good?

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999)

It is bad when one thing becomes two. One should not look for anything else in the Way of the Samurai. It is the same for anything else that is called a Way. If one understands things in this manner, he should be able to hear about all Ways and be more and more in accord with his own...

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)- The Battle of Helms Deep, the Exorcism of King Theodin, and the Ent’s assault on Saruman. Epic! ☺️
Sam’s Inspirational Speech at the end and Gollum’s Song is amazing.

Wait for the words!

Trivia: The settlement representing the Capital of Rohan was built on Mount Sunday, then disassembled after filming.

So I saw a few good films, enjoyable to watch and not as bad as critics said they would be either.

Venom was a bit sad at the end lol, although who knows if there will be another one? Tom Hardy has made that character his own that’s for sure.
The Accountant 2 is good and again, Ben Affleck has made that character. Although the original film was very good with its twist at the end.
Captain America is just good fun, typical Marvel film and at least they constantly play up to the fact Anthony Mackie’s character has no super powers, I liked that. And good ‘old’ Harrison Ford still kicking it at his age!
Anyway all films are on streaming services in the UK now.

Going to watch The Wild Robot and Bettlejuice Beetilejuice yet.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2003)
It’s infrequent finding this kind of EPICNESS on the big screen. Lighting of the beacons, the retreat and charge on Osgiliath, Sam fights Shelob, Gandalf whoops buttocks, orcs and an uppity Steward, Spiritual uplifting “No Pippin, death is not the end”, Sam storming the tower single handedly to save Frodo, The Battle of Pelennor Fields, Eowyn and Pippin ROCK. “You fool, no man can kill me.” “GUESS WHAT SUCKER!…” (paraphrased ☺️), and OMG, one of the most incredible cinematic scenes in movie history is Legolas- King of the Oliphaunt spankers. And the climax of the movie, when a very unlikely character becomes, (very loose interpretation) the inadvertent hero. This story has everything, so many memorable moments including bromance and intense romance. 😁 And it devotes 15 minutes to closure, very much appreciated.

Note: For be being a White Wizard Gandalf was a bit short of fire out of fingertips, if you know what I mean, but that’s ok. 😉
