Until the End of the World (1991)
View attachment 2509042
Is a commitment to watch the full length film and a travesty to watch the butchered editions. A beautiful film that touches on many subjects. If you haven't, you should if for nothing else than the OST...

Q-6
4+ Hours…(288 min) unless I misread this. Rotten Tomatos lists as 2hr37min, edited? i’ll have to start this earlier. 🤔

National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978)- favorite! ☺️

…always wanted this Vet.

Then you aint got the real deal. Criterion edition is 4:47:58, nor to be missed. Bought the disk and ripped it... if you want a screen cap, you know what to do :)

Q-6
288min is 4hr 48min… that is the length of the rental on Prime. Movie or episodes? Just curious why Rotten Tomatoes lists it at 2:37…😳

Have no idea, what I do know is that it's a full feature, not a series. At 2:37 film would be butchered... Likely just an error. IMDB has it at 4:47.

Q-6
Until The End Of The World- For RT it could be a typo, error, but there is a 2:37 min cut. One reviewer called it bloated and over indulgent, although it lists 89% review rating from both critics and audience.

"9/11 Phone Calls From the Towers" - I have what might be called a morbid obsession with 9/11. Read the books, watch the videos, follow the forum threads, etc. I was up early on September 11, 2001, and watched the entire event take place on tv; got my family up to watch, etc. I had read in a forum about this movie so when I found it on Prime last evening I decided to give it a watch. Definitely depressing and I was rather glad when my daughter texted me that she was having a slight issue and I had to turn the movie off to go next door. I won't be finishing it...I watched enough.

I agree with your feelings. Watching the event was more than enough for me.

Saw this push for Fountain of Youth a new 2025 movie on Apple+ and it looked like had potential based on stars I like and a Indiana Jones type vibe, but the Director is Guy Richie who I don’t like generally, hated his Sherlock Holmes, and other titles, then I read the reviews… 😳

Watched that new Jason Statham one the other day, The Workman is it? Pretty forgettable anyway, also watched The Cleaner and it was as forgettable IMO.

EDIT: I should mention I think The Bee Keeper was the best recent Stathan film and I believe they are making a sequel. Also enjoyed The Meg.

I like bio-pics. Enjoyed it overall, but didn't feel as exciting as other movies/series. Also, at times it looks like it's set in the early 80s when it's actually much later.

Interesting idea, but... feels like it was supposed to be a series and then got demoted to a movie. They jump between different locations with pretty much no connection. Feels like a lot was cut out between those scenes they showed. It has more plot holes than Swiss cheese. Rating the scenes at specific locations alone, I enjoyed them while for the full movie, too much was missing. Looks like they're setting up this franchise, so for the next part, if they focus on a story for a 2h movie from the very beginning I can see it working. A lot of potential, just very poorly executed.

Watched Fountain of Youth also. As said, much potential, poorly executed.

Honestly the Brother/Sister banter was boring. That between Rey and Kylo Ren was much better. Heavens, the banter between C3PO and R2D2 was better.

Very much like all the bits from the Indiana Jones films, mashed together in a blender.

And how did Ms Gonzalez get out from the sinking piece of ship? And wouldn't various authorities care about cutting up a sacred wreck?

And the copy of the Wicked Bible was on white paper? It's 400 flaming years old. It should look like this --

Fountain of Youth, in a word Guy Ritchie? 🤔 Basing the comment on previous viewings of his work.

Looked kinda lame from the trailers I've seen.

Ok I bad mouthed Guy Ritchie, for what is a dood reason, I don’t like his style and it seems like the same for Fountain of Youth, where in reviews he is described as a director who does not know how to direct actors.

…That said, we started Mobland, a UK based mobster story on Paramont+ and two episodes in, we are pleased with it.
